Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams and Life and Yarn!
I made some more progress on my red leaf scarf. A few more leaves and it will be finished!
We’ve been busy with farm work and field work and watering flowers and mowing yard and weeding here and there and moving sprinklers in the garden. Summer and outside stuff means not so much happening on other projects. I love going out in the late evenings and puttering around the yard and garden and watering the flowers if I haven’t given them a drink yet for the day.
Usually, if we have a windy day the wind will subside in the evening. At least somewhat, if not altogether. It’s a peaceful time of day.
My hydrangeas have been showing off for me and it makes me so happy!
These are the books I picked up some this week.
Savor is one of my favorite devotionals and I read in it again this week. Another devotional I opened up was Holley Gerth’s What Your Heart Needs For the Hard Days. It’s such a sweet, pretty, little book. Her words are always encouraging.
I mentioned A Million Little Ways yesterday. I did pull it off the shelf and read the first chapter and I was right. It is beautiful and soul-soothing. A relaxing read for summer!
I started The Life Giving Home a while back. I really like it. I laid it aside for a while because I had library books I was reading and needed to get finished and returned. I picked The Life Giving Home back up again. Each chapter correlates with a month and I was ready for July, so that worked out just dandy!
One of my dear friends gave me this journal last year for my birthday. I had used it to copy some song lyrics and favorite verses and recently started using it for my next prayer journal because my old one was FULL.
The dotted dishtowel and be grateful sign were dropped off to me by my sister-in-law last week for my birthday. I thought it would be fun to show them to you today! I’m loving them both.
AND……………..
speaking of birthdays, today happens to be mine.
I’m celebrating here at A Delightful Glow by bringing a giveaway for you!
It’s a mix of some of my favorites.
I can’t gift everyone, but I can gift someone!!
I appreciate you all for reading and for the kind comments and words and bits you share here with me. Thank-you! So very much.

Happy birthday! 🙂
I love my bedside basket. I found it at a local artisan shop and it’s so cool! You tuck a flap under your mattress and instantly have a storage space for books, tv remote, etc. I love it! It’s the little things 😉
It IS the little things!
Your basket sounds wonderful. Happy day!
Happy Birthday!! What a delightful giveaway you have put together!! Thanks for the opportunity to follow your Blog. You have a great writing style!
Thank-YOU for your sweet words.
I love putting a package of favorites together.

Happy birthday! How special of you to give a gift for your birthday😊 Enjoy the day and stay cool.
Thank-you so much!
Happy birthday, thank you for the lovely giveaway! One of my favorite things is my pineapple cutter!
I won a pineapple cutter in a giveaway a couple of years ago and I absolutely love it, too! 🙂
Happy birthday!! I love and could not do without my bosch mixer!
Oh, I know the feeling! I’ve never used Bosch, but I love my Kitchen Aid. 🙂
Happy Birthday! I love that you’re sharing some of your favorite things with others. I might have to remember that for when my birthday rolls around in October. One of my favorite things: Salted Caramel cookies from our local bread baker. They are the perfect combo of salty and sweet and such a special treat.
Thank-you!
Oh my goodness! The cookies sound wonderful. I am a cookie fan, especially fresh-baked-from-the-oven with a glass of milk!
I love using my perfume!
Oh, perfume is a good one! I have some favorite perfume as well. 🙂
I am so grateful to have my KitchenAid. I love baking for others since there is only my husband and I at home. My daughters recognize too the joy of sharing home baked goods with others! The giveaway looks great – I may have to share with my daughters!
I love my Kitchen Aid, too!
And I like to bake. It is fun to fix something yummy and to package up baked goods and share with friends and neighbors. And such a good heritage to pass on to your daughters.
Happy Birthday and thanks for sharing the gifts with us!! One of my favorite things is Carmex. It is all over the house, work, the car. I use it multiple times, every day. I’m addicted!
Haha! This gave me a very fun giggle. My man loves Carmex, too.
Happy Birthday. Hope it is a fabulous one. One of my favorite things is my sewing machine. I use it daily. It is my joy time, my stress reliever and more. One of my gifts is giving, and boy do I love sewing things for others.
I had a very lovely day!
My sister is an awesome seamstress and her sewing machine would be one of her favorite things. She blogs at Sew a Fine Seam. I’m so glad yours brings you joy and peace! So awesome.
How sweet and fun to make things to gift others.
My favorite kitchen tool is my whisk.
I have a couple of whisks from Pampered Chef that I love!
Happy Birthday! How sweet to share your joy by giving away gifts!! One of my favorite things is a cozy throw that a special relative crocheted for me. Even in the summer if the air is cool, I’ll pull the blanket over me while reading a book or watching TV. Sweet memories, and so much fun to snuggle under!
Your blanket sounds beautiful and wonderful and so special.
There’s something so cozy about snuggling under a blanket to read or watch a movie. 🙂
Happy birthday to you! One of my favorite things is our sweet dog. We found him at a shelter earlier this year and love his company. He is really a sweetheart!
That’s so wonderful!
We had a beagle, Cooper, who we really loved. He died last fall and it was sad, but the days and memories are worth it. He was sweet and funny.
Id have to say my Bible. Its my treasure. My mom got it for me about 10 yrs ago. I also love my coloring books and mediums(pens & pencils) I have. Coloring helps with my chronic pain. Im so blessed to be so rich to have Jesus as my Lord & Savior. I try not to complain because I know there are so many out there worse than I am. Im addicted to giveaways. Lol! Ive wanted to learn how to knit for yrs.I want to make baby/kid hats for the little cancer patients. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway 🙂
I love your description of your Bible. I relate. Very much.
I’m glad your coloring book brings you joy. Praying for your pain. I relate to that all too well, also. And yes, I too think about how many have much worse conditions than I do. But still, we do have to deal with what we are going through.
Knitting isn’t hard. It felt awkward to me at first and took some getting used to, just like learning any new skill.
Have a blessed day!
Happy Birthday! I love to have my simple digital camera handy all the time. It helps me to “see” things all around me in different ways. I love all your special little touches…
Thank-you so much!
I love to take pictures too. Yes! Life through the lens lends a different perspective.
Happy weekend!
Happy birthday month! Some of my favorite things that I use daily are my Bible, journal, and coloring pens & pencils.
Thank-you!
I love your list of favorites.
Belated Happy Birthday! On of my favorite things is getting away from home to relax in the outdoors. It’s an extra bonus when it’s a week at the beach. Sitting or laying in a hammock in the woods near a stream is special also.
Thank-you!
A week at the beach is definitely an extra bonus!! 🙂
I love my new Contigo mug. I take it everywhere.
How fun!
Hmm since it’s summer I’m happy for a cool basement 🙂 thanks for offering all these lovely gifts to us
Yes!! I’m thankful for our cool basement as well.
