Yesterday was the release day for this beautiful storybook about Deborah. I love the painting type illustrations and the vibrant colors in these books. This is a third in the series from Called and Courageous Girls.
The other two are A Brave Big Sister about Miriam and An Extraordinary Teacher about Priscilla. You’ll find pictures of both books in this post over here.

These storybooks add creative imagination to what life might have been like for these girls we find in the Bible, but highlight their stories and the places God called them to.

I like the message these books carry for each of us to serve God bravely and faithfully in the place He puts us.

And each book has reflection questions at the end of the story.

Here’s all three together!

Do you have the gift of being ThoughFull? This question winds its way across the back cover of this sweet children’s book.
This book shares the story of Ahanu, a boy with Down Syndrome. He’s awarded at school for his thoughtfulness.

Later on, Ahanu’s friend Joshua hears some other boys making fun of Ahanu. This troubles Joshua and he goes home and talks to Dad about it.

Dad helps Joshua think of the many ways Ahanu is thoughtful and in turn Joshua gets a chance to approach the other boys and share kind words with them about Ahanu.

The emphasis on growing kind and thoughtfull hearts makes this book beautiful…..along with the fun and happy illustrations!

Do you remember me posting about ColorFull? {It’s in this post} This is the second book in the series and the third one, GraceFull comes out in February!

Here’s a bit from my reading stack!
I’ve been reading slowly through The Four Wills of God. {I have a review of it over in this post.}
I read Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin in August, and promptly checked The Happiness Project out at the library. I’ve really enjoyed both these books.
I read through Miracles by Eric Metaxas and I’m re-reading a couple sections. This book has given me a lot to think about. It’s insightful and well written.
Stretched Too Thin by Jessica N. Turner ~ This book debuted the same day as It’s All Under Control. I really liked The Fringe Hours by Jessica N. Turner and wanted to read this book of hers as well.
And see that tiny start of a dishcloth????!!!! It’s been hanging out on my needles for, well, quite a while! Other demands and stacks of books have taken precedence over my knitting needles it seems. That’s ok! Everything cycles and has its season. I have mending in a stack that’s been waiting FAR too long. But then? Who’s measuring or dictating what far too long is?! 🙂 I also have a kit to make felt party hats and I want to work on them for my four little nieces. PLUS, a lovely cross stitch kit that looks very fun to open! Oh my! I wish I had the time and energy I dream of!!! Ha! Still……I’m grateful for every good day, grateful for fun projects and so grateful for good books!!! 🙂
Linking up with Ginny for the month of October!
I’d love to hear what you’ve been reading!!! Oh, and come back tomorrow………we’ll have a giveaway for a copy of the (in) courage Bible! Yay!

The book of Deborah has peaked my interest I will look for the others as well I think would make great gifts for my great niece as will Colorful and Thoughtful. Love the start of the wash cloth.
Thank you, Deborah! I love beautiful children’s books and engaging stories. Both of these are lovely! I have another post about a book in the Bible Belles series of books for girls. It’s about Deborah from the Bible too. Of course, it’s fun to have Bible books about Deborah! 🙂
