Back in March I finished up a couple of pom-pom wreaths and I took these pictures. I really enjoy making these wreaths.
{DIY for a pom-pom wreath in this post here ~}
I enjoy blogging about the wreaths too….it’s just having time to! {I never, never get all the projects and ideas done like I’d like!}
The white wreath found a home at my mother’s and the other three went to the store in Ohio my sister works with.
I truly love how this raggy-taggy one came out. It’s kind of quirky and happy and eccentric. If a pom-pom wreath can be such things. Apparently they can. Because this one definitely is!
I started on pom-poms for a blue and white wreath, but have stalled out. Too many other things going on.
My KID PICK!
This book rhymes and is darling! Mattie isn’t too happy with his twirly, whirly tail, but his friends help him learn that he is loved just like he is and the way he looks isn’t what matters anyway!
Here’s what I’ve been reading…………
This book has been very inspiring. It’s a compilation of short stories by a variety of authors who each share their perspective or lesson or story about marriage. I love the mix it brings together! It’s such a good reminder of what a gift marriage is and how just like each person is an individual, each marriage is unique as well.
I’ve been slowly reading through this pretty book and I love it as well! Written by the same gals who wrote the Open Your Bible study.
{Post about Open Your Bible study here. Handlettering post here with quotes from it right here!}
Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado
Loved this book!
I’m also still reading my e-book of Archie of Outlandish.
I have a crocheted hat to show you this week. I did not make it.
Renae did.
She’d done some crocheting, but when we were in Ohio one of my aunts showed her some stitches and helped her learn how to crochet better. Renae was quite excited and delighted about it.
She and my mom and my aunt and our cousin went yarn shopping and she started this hat project.
I thought it was so fun! I enjoyed seeing it take shape. I didn’t even realize she was working on it until she was almost finished.
See the fun tassel? 🙂
Chevron detail.
The pattern for this hat isn’t in this book, but I thought the book was cute, so I snapped a picture!
This book over here of crocheted hat patterns looks like a fun one!
Speaking of crocheting, today is the last day to enter the giveaway for Mitzi the Monkey, crocheted by my friend and cousin. Go enter!
If you love children’s books, go enter the giveaway here for Daddy’s Girl!
What have you been reading or working on? Are you tackling outdoorsy projects and spring things?
I started recording my SSMT 2017 verses in my Yarn Along posts.
The last one I recorded was for March 1st, so I have three I need to add here.
March 15
………………………………..
Joshua 23:8
Instead, remain faithful to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.

………………………..
Colossians 2:5
For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

{Speaking of King Hezekiah}
For he held fast to the Lord. He did not depart from following Him, but kept the commandments that the Lord commanded Moses.

The pom pom wreaths look really pretty, when I’ve finished my pile of books will have to read the Hearts of Marriage, sounds a really good book.
Thank-you!
The Heart of Marriage is a very good read! 🙂
Oh your pom pom wreaths are just darling Deborah! To join the fall tea cup exchange you just need to contact Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose. I provided the highlighted link in today’s post. It is such fun! May you enjoy a glorious spring and a wonderful week!
Thank-you, Laura! After I commented I hopped over to The Enchanting Rose and found the email notification form. My apologies for not checking it out closer BEFORE I commented. Thanks for taking time to answer my question.
I love the idea of the exchange. I’ve been asked about exchanges that work like a chain letter and I’ve not wanted to do those. I’ve never liked chain letter type things where you had to get a bunch of people to also join. This idea I love because you have the fun of putting together a gift and you don’t have to ask anyone. Besides I love teacups! I’m going to start keeping an eye out for one!
Again, thank-you! You have a wonderful week too!
Good job on the hat, Renae. I love having the Pom Pom wreath hanging in my room. I’m still wanting to read Outlive Your Life sometime.
I’m so glad you like the pom-pom wreath! And you would enjoy Outlive Your Life.
