Back in the spring/summer I found some cool Instagram accounts about Bible journaling. Some of the pictures and lettering are so neat.
It inspired me to pull out a kid’s lettering book {over in this post} that we’ve had for a long time. I’d done lettering with it before, but it had been a while.
It is The Kid’s Book of Creative Lettering. It’s about my speed! π I think I am quite a kid at heart! I still love kids’ toys and in a big crowd, I often would rather chat with the kiddos than make small talk with adults, if I don’t know them very well.
It was fun to do it again and to write some verses and inspiration in my Bible using ideas out of it.
Then after my surgery in December I pulled the lettering book out again.
Once again, I have enjoyed just taking the time to play around and letter verses or quotes.
I started the Open Your Bible study in January and I started lettering a quote from it each week and posting on IG.
It’s fun to combine the things I enjoy. I like to do the lettering and then I also like capturing photos of the pages.
Have you pulled out any favorites, new or old, this winter?
Do you enjoy handwriting and do you have any favorite hand lettering books? I’d love suggestions!
I love all the pictures of lettering! Inspiring post. π
Thank-you for your kind words!
I love seeing these every time you post one on IG!
Thank-you! They’re fun to do AND very fun to photograph.
