Carole is hosting a monthly Ten on the Tenth.
This month’s theme is, “Ten Things You Enjoy About the Current Season.”
{I do realize I’m posting ahead of the tenth. 🙂 This way I can keep my “tens” neatly categorized on Tuesdays. Ha!}
Let’s hear it for Ten Things I’m Loving About the Current Season.
AND, if you aren’t sure what the current season is, click over to my post from yesterday and my burlap banner will be so happy to announce it to you!
1. All the colors and textures and beauty of autumn. I love the gourds and pumpkins. I love the crunchy leaves and the cooler air. I love the green of the sprouting wheat. I love the last blooms of the summer flowers. Our temps have been unseasonably warm and I still have roses and hydrangeas blooming. My summer flowerpots would be too, but I quit watering them and said a fond farewell.
2. All the pumpkin and apple recipes!
3. Candles. I’ve been burning a Pumpkin Latte candle. Mmmm.
4. Sweatshirts. I love a good, ole, cozy sweatshirt!
5. Books, hot drinks and blankets!!!!!!!!
6. Taking a walk in seventies and sunshine.
7. I like all the fall decor. It’s fun to see wreaths on doors and mums and pumpkin displays outside on porches. Some of the shops on our Main Street set up pretty displays outside their doors. We have a greenhouse in town that always looks gorgeous!
8. I like the fall colored candy. Such a fun look! Browns and reds and gold and brown M&M’s. Chocolates with autumn wrappers. Candy corn! {This party post had fun fall wrappers on the Krackels and Mr. Goodbars and Hersheys.}
9. I’m never quite ready to see summer leave us, but I do enjoy the longer evenings autumn brings.
10. Thanksgiving. I like to think more intentionally about giving thanks in November and I like Thanksgiving Day. I like making favorite recipes and I like the leftovers.

Thanksgiving leftovers are worth all the work of thanksgiving.
