A couple of weeks ago, a friend tagged me on Instagram with a booklover sharing challenge. I was supposed to share seven books, but while I am a rule-follower much of the time, sometimes I color outside the lines. Especially in an instance where it really doesn’t matter and isn’t going to hurt anyone, and IN FACT will probably make other people’s lives better!!!! 🙂
Therefore, I couldn’t stop at seven and shared nine instead. Then I had an extra copy of Nobody’s Cuter Than You and knew it would make a fun giveaway for my friends on Instagram. This bumped my book number up to ten.
Which, of course, worked perfectly for a Ten on Tuesday post and since I already had the pictures and I love to chatter about favorite books, it only made sense to bring this to you today! 😉 Oh, part of the IG challenge was to simply share the covers of your books, no reviews or explanations. That was great for IG, but here on my blog, I’ll share a few words about the books.

Most of these titles have been on my blog before. Either in Pages and Project posts or in other book lists of ten or because I was excited about them for some reason or another.
{Here’s some of what I had to say about it over in this post.}
“This book is incredible in my opinion and already on my list of favorite reads for 2018. I love the author’s writing style and gentle, easy, and relatable voice.You won’t find this book preaching at you. The author knows what it is to live life life without offering or receiving grace and in the pull of stressful family situations. Gary Morland shares his story and how he learned to love Jesus, reject alcohol and pick up the right tools to use in shaping lasting and loving family relationships.”

I love all of Katherine Reay’s novels. I easily could have grabbed any of them. I did love the picture of grace and mercy that shows up in the end of this book as the story unfolds.
{You’ll find me talking about the book in this post.}

We had this book when I was young and I loved it. SO MUCH LOVED IT. It’s a funny frolicking tale about a moose named Bruce and he has a loose tooth and his friend, the Goose is going to help him get loose from this tooth!
As you see, it rhymes………and furthermore, there was a string connected to the tooth and it runs all through the book as the Goose and Bruce try this and try that to rid the poor Moose of this troublesome tooth!
I found a copy on Ebay a bunch of years ago when my own children were younger. It’s still a treasured book on my shelf!

The storytelling of this book and the message somehow resonate with me and make me want to curl up and settle into the pages and come away with inspiration to apply to my life. I re-read this book at the beginning of this year. My life is vastly different from the author’s, but I still love stepping into her story and settling into a front row seat as she processes through the things she’s learning in her life.

This book resonated with me so much when I read it. I also like The Power of a Praying Wife. Fervent was an encouragement to me to go deeper in prayer and to pray over all areas of my life and for my husband and my children and my family and friends. It was just a beautiful inspiration to me! I sent a copy of this book to three friends while I was reading it myself, because I knew they would like it too.
It needs to go on my re-read list!

I really appreciate Shaunti Feldhaun’s books about marriage and the studies and polls she’s participated in about marriage. And I appreciate the information she’s shared in her books.

Katy Comes Next
This is one of my most favoritest children’s books!!! My Grandma had this book and I loved to read it when we would visit her.
It’s all about Ruth and her doll, Katy. Ruth’s parents run a Good-As-Ne-Hospital-For-Dolls and there’s always someone with a doll needing help and attention. Will Katy’s turn ever come?!
It finally does, and what a turn Katy has!
I adored the pictures in this book and all the adorable doll clothes and outfits for Katy.
It made me so happy years later to watch my daughter play with her baby doll Amanda and the wardrobe of clothes and little shoes and socks she had for her. I’m quite sure it was, in part, because it reminded me of all the fun Ruth had with Katy in this book. {Plus, my own days of playing with babydolls!}

This book is a beautiful look at friendship. And with Melanie Shankle, you’ll always find yourself laughing! 🙂

This book is always a gentle voice to me, reminding me that small living and slowing down and delighting in today matter a whole, whole lot to me.
Fun fact: I was on the launch team for this book AND if it wasn’t the very first launch team I was part of it, it was very close. I really can not remember for sure. You’ll find me talking about it in this post.
I’m actually slowly re-reading Simply Tuesday right now.

The Blue Castle really does rate as one of my top favorite books! Anytime I think about favorite books, it doesn’t take long for this one to pop into my head. I always root for underdogs and I love stories that end happily and there are so many life lessons you can pull out of this story. Read about it in this post over here, written several years ago.
Tell me if you want, what books are on your FAVORITES list? 🙂
