Hearts and Roses and Apple Pie

I put this pie together one day in January. Since it’s Valentine week, it seemed like a good time to post these pictures.

It was fun to try another design and use some hearts. I had hearts in my head because I had added Valentine touches around my home and had been enjoying thinking about Valentine’s Day and love.

I had apples in my basement refrigerator so I chopped and diced to put together an apple pie!

I recently got an attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer that will peel and slice apples. I’m pretty excited about trying it and I think I will be making apple pie again soon. I didn’t have it yet when I made this pie and I think it will make the apple prep go much faster.

I made two apple pies when I did this one. I have pictures of it to post another time. I did leaves and roses on it and I think it is my favorite so far!

I didn’t get a lot of pictures of the baked pie, but I do have a couple.

I’m never sure how they may come out and it’s fun when they bake up well! 🙂
