Renae started crocheting another ruffled scarf. The yarn for these is so pretty and frilly looking.
She’s also knitting some pieces. She wants to try making a soft pumpkin out of them.
My current dishcloth.
And I finished this one.
Still looking through my Little Golden books!
We Help Daddy
I’m quite sure that Eloise Wilkin pictures has something to do with my favorite books!
I’m still reading Hoodwinked and Money Making Mom from last week. You can pre-order both, right now.
And still reading through the rest of my pile. Pretty much the same reads. A few pages here and a few pages there!
I don’t think I’ve shared this Bible study and this book. I’ve started both. They go well together. I didn’t plan it, but the two are a good fit. Same subject. Different authors. More than one voice and view adds insight and interest. Yet, it is awesome how it all points to the same power. Our Father God. I love digging into all the different names there are for God in the Bible and learning the meanings behind them. Once again, it points to His power and His care and love for us and His desire for relationship with us.
My mother-in-law gave me this quilt a couple of weeks ago. Her mother made it. I like things with family history or meaning attached.
Look at the border all along the bottom. Lots of little pieces! It’s so pretty.
It is an heirloom and will be cool to pass on to Renae.
Renae decided to use it on her bed and it looks lovely there.
My grandma quilted many, many quilts. My mother-in-law quilts. My mother pieces quilts. I don’t do anything in the quilting area, except admire their beauty and intricate, tiny stitches.
However, I wouldn’t be too shocked if Renae would make a quilt someday. She has a pillowtop she is quilting that had been in my mother-in-law’s stash. Sewing and crafting and creating are very much some of Renae’s loves.
What is in your project pile this week?
And have you found any new or favorite reads?

I love the quilt! My mom gave me an afghan a few weeks ago but she can’t remember if she crocheted it or if my Nana did it, it is definitely treasured regardless!
Yes, definitely a treasure! How special!
Dishcloths are so fun and worthwhile! I like yours!
I like doing them because they are easy to pick up and don’t require a lot of mental effort. It’s fun to see them emerge.
Oh my! That quilt! What a treasure! It is awesome! Can you tell I love quilts?
I knew you would like it!
