10 Things You Did This Weekend
It’s Ten on Tuesday!
linking up at Carole Knits.
1. I delivered lunch and supper to my farmer man since he was in the field drilling wheat.
2. I enjoyed a cozy campfire with my family and my bro-in-law, sister-in-law, and our baby nieces! We feasted on soft pretzels, {brought by my sister-in-law} hot dogs, popcorn, and cookie smores! Yum! Have you ever tried using chocolate chip cookies instead of grahams to make a smore? Spread peanut butter on the cookies and then put your roasted marshmallow in the middle and sandwich them together. Mmmm! R had this tasty treat at a campout last year and we’ve loved the idea ever since. My favorite is to break a cookie in half, do the peanut butter and add a marshmallow between the cookie halves. Two cookies is just a bit much for me. {And I love cookies!!}
3. I worked on my knitting some. Progress report tomorrow.
4. I made White Chicken Chili and Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats.
5. I kept our friends’ children on Saturday afternoon. It was so nice outside and R & T had fun playing in the trees and building forts and teepees with their friends.
6. I wrote this Instapost.
7. My man and I took a walk on our dirt road.
8. I cozied up in a blanket and drank hot tea while I did my Bible study. I didn’t feel the best on Friday or Saturday and I had a slow morning on Saturday.
9. I ate tacos {and drank Pepsi} from my favorite local taco place with my family at the park and also drank in the vibrant leaves and the show-off splendor of fall!!
10. I planted three little succulents in a flowerpot. They were a little bedraggled and neglected when I brought them home from the store. I’m hoping they will take off. I’ve been seeing different succulent arrangements and eyeing them and thinking how pretty they are, but hadn’t yet found quite what I wanted. Giving this a try!
How about you? What did you do over the weekend and did you have an extended weekend because of Columbus Day? We farm….so right back at it on Monday!!
