Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams ~
It’s a candy corn family!!!! 🙂
My post last week has a link to the pattern if you are interested.
I hurried and finished the set of coasters, so I could add them to a birthday gift for my friend last week. We were meeting for lunch and that gave me an added incentive to stitch along!
I gave her the smaller dishcloth/doily/whateveryouwanttodowithit…….
I liked the smaller size better than the first one I did. I used smaller needles and didn’t do quite as many rows of the yellow.
I hope to turn out another set of coasters soon.
My cross stitch hasn’t seen much of me and my floss still needs organized!
I’m sipping pumpkin pie flavored coffee this morning. Mmmm. Perfect October.
Thanks to a couple of friends and neighbors, who blessed me with tomatoes and peppers, I had salsa to make on Monday afternoon and some of it still needs canned. Hopefully, my coffee will motivate me!
The farmer men have been on the move, cultivating and treating seed wheat and drilling and repeat at the next field.
My kitchen has been a flurry of packed lunches and water jugs and the floor is a rather sticky combination of a little bit of everything right now.
I pulled these books off the shelves to lend to a friend for her son and decided they might as well join us this week as our KID PICK!
The Imagination Station books!
Have you ever read The Magic Treehouse books? These are a little bit similar in the way of having adventures. They come from The Adventures in Odyssey and the Imagination Station in those stories. My kids liked reading them a lot when they were younger. They also enjoyed listening to some of the Magic Treehouse on audio from our library.
I didn’t do a lot of reading this past week. Other things to do!
I did start If by Mark Batterson. I’ve not read anything by him before.
I also finished my Breathe study. It was a perfect fit to work through in September. Good thoughts and inspirations, but a shorter study and not as intensive as some.
I’m hoping to soon start my Entrusted study.
I started using this Gratitude journal. It’s designed for kids.
It has three shapes on each page and each shape has a date. Kids {or adults, whichever the case may be} can write/draw a few things they’re thankful for in each space.
It would be a fun Christmas gift idea for kiddos who like to journal and draw.
I’ve been enjoying jotting a few things down in a variety of ways. A list of bullet points. Simply writing. Using some handlettering some days.
It’s very fun!
The children’s book, Flash the Donkey Makes New Friends by Rachel Ann Ridge is now available! I love her book, Flash. It’s listed over here in my post Ten Books That Make Me Want To Drop Everything and Read.
And raising my coffee mug to another week with beautiful October weather and picking up some projects and books! Happy day!
those coasters are cute and festive! and I do like candy corn 🙂
Oh those coasters are so cute and very seasonal!
