Do You Know You’re Already Amazing? by Holley Gerth {Still a few days to enter our giveaway for a copy of this devotional! Over here.}
We had rain on Saturday afternoon. It was cool and lovely. I opened the front door and grabbed The Undoing of Saint Silvanus and headed for the couch. I wrapped up in a cozy blanket and listened to the sound of the rain through the screen door. A best kind of day!
I’ve been looking forward to Beth Moore’s novel since early in the year when she shared that she had written it and it would be releasing in September.
It’s captivating. It’s mystery and scary. It tells of real life and redemption. The characters step off the pages and till the end of the book they were my friends. And I’ve found myself craving French press coffee made by Miss O!
One of my favorite parts of the book is the narration during the Christmas Pageant. Absolutely beautiful!
I finished Present Over Perfect. Bless Shauna Niequist’s heart for sharing her journey and lessons with us.
I picked up The Life Giving Home again. I have a couple of chapters left. It’s ranking right up there as one of my favorite reads for the year. It breathes love, life and home!
These are the dishcloths for the week! I watched some of the live stream for True Woman Cry Out 16 and knitted along as I did. I caught one of Mary Kassian’s sessions. I love her words and way of sharing and speaking.
I made this candy corn dishcloth! Although I think it is a bit big for a dishcloth and may work better as a “doily” type decor.
I’m working on another one and hopefully a small set of coasters to tuck into a friend’s birthday gift.
You can find the pattern here. It’s not free. It’s $2 and it includes instruction for dishcloth and coasters. There is a free pattern here with a little different look.
A little bit of cross stitch!
Last night one of the floss caddies was sitting on the floor. As I turned my foot caught it and sent it over, scattering floss everywhere!! I had gone through it last week and straightened and arranged it. Basically, wasted effort! Haha! It’s waiting to do again. I didn’t feel like doing it last night, {or have the time} so right now it is all scooped into a heap waiting for someone to rescue and reorganize….again!
One last picture because I knew it would be a fun shot to snap and a pretty one!
Oh, and I really do plan to have Kid Picks again! I haven’t grabbed one for a couple of weeks.
Speaking of children’s books, this giveaway for Baby, Baby Board Book still has a few days left, too. Enter here!
What are you reading right now?

I love the candy corn dishcloth! Super cute.
Thank-you! It was fun to make. I love watching projects take shape, especially when I’m trying something new. 🙂
I’ve been on the fence about ordering Beth Moore’s novel – I love her studies so much I didn’t want to be disappointed in her fiction! Glad to know she’s just as good at storytelling as she is as Scripture analysis. Also, love your version of the candy corn dishcloth. I too thought that pattern was a little big for a dishcloth but didn’t think about it being a doily or placed under a hot plate on the dinner table. Off to make more candy corn decor!
I really enjoyed Beth’s novel. It’s completely different than her studies. And it is scary!
I love her studies as well. Esther is one of my favorites.
I finished another candy corn dishcloth last night. I used smaller needles and didn’t do as many yellow rows and it came out smaller and I like the size better. I’ll have pictures next week. Hoping to get some coasters done!
Oooo..love the idea to use it as a hot mat! Happy week!
Lovely post! Thank you for sharing!
Glad you came by! 🙂
Picked up Beth Moore’s book last weekend and hoping to have the time to dive into it in the next week or two. Trying to make time to sit and finish Priscilla Shirer’s kid book. It’s good, I just need to sit. Thanks for giving the book thumbs up. Motivation is a wonderful tool. cute corn. How big do your coasters end up?
I posted a picture of the coasters in this post…https://adelightfulglow.com/yarn-along-imagination-station/
I bought The Prince Warriors by Priscilla Shirer on audio for my son. I’ve been listening to it when I’m in the car. I think I have one cd left. I’ve enjoyed it!
I hope you can soon dive into The Undoing of Saint Silvanus!
