Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams.
I took this picture first and it is in the post first, so our Kid Pick is just FIRST this week! 🙂
Another Little Golden!
We had this book when I was a kid. Oh, that rascally rabbit! I was so fascinated with the carrot machine and the carrots it produced.
I found a copy in a second-hand shop when my kiddos were littles and added it to our shelves.
My other reads. Still reading through them.
I’ve been reading a page or two here and there in Out of Sorts for a while. I keep forgetting about it, because it is stuck in the basket or drawer in my bathroom.
This is the first book of Sarah Bessey’s I’ve read. There are some parts I resonate with and some things I don’t, but it is interesting to read. It reminds me that we all have our own journey and ups and downs. And I truly believe God cares about us all so deeply. He sees us individually and feels our deep needs and loves us so much.
AND ~
Make Room For What You Love is NOW AVAILABLE!
Whether your home really is a big clutter or whether you have everything pretty well organized, I think you would enjoy this book. I’m not a hoarder. I’m not a minimalist. I like cozy. I like to organize. All the same, my house is never perfectly organized. We usually have some clutter. I like to redo and I’m often considering how something might work better in a different way or different place in our home.
I have enjoyed this new book of Melissa Micheals. I really love her other two books as well. I like her viewpoint of filling your home with things you love and things that matter to you, yet at the same time not letting it become too much of a good thing!
I had these grand ideas in my head.
Finish the dark green dishcloth. Somehow I’m just not inspired by dark green right now. I wanted to start a dishcloth and that yarn was nearby, so I used it. It’s just not cutting it right now.
Finish two aqua dishcloths.
MAYBE, have a completed baby sock to show.
Didn’t quite manage any of it.
Another day……….another week…..perhaps!
This is my third attempt at the sock!
I. AM. GOING. TO. GET. IT.
{I hope.}
I’m trying to grasp each new step and technique. Slowly, but surely!
In Dory style, “Just keep knitting! Just keep knitting, knitting, knitting!”
In more fun news, LOOK at this pretty, pretty crochet needle!
When my Mother was here in February, we went to Hobby Lobby and she bought these lovely wooden crochet needles for us.
Here’s another reason my knitting projects haven’t progressed any further.
MUGS!!!!
Last week I saw a mug online with the above saying.
I chortled. Absolutely guffawed. It struck me so funny.
And I messaged it to several of my friends.
Then I was struck with the IDEA to try my hand at lettering some mugs.
Oh my goodness, it is so much fun! Do you need a mug?!
I think my sister may stick a few in her store.
My husband came in on Friday because it was all rainy out and he needed to go run some errands and get a couple of things for his shed project. I hopped in with him and off we went.
I buzzed into Hobby Lobby for oil based paint pens. Scanned the shelves for mugs, but came up empty.
Dashed into Micheals. Still no mugs.
Tried good ole Wal-Mart and found what I was looking for!
Our anniversary is coming up!
One of “our” songs was Next to You Next to Me by Shenandoah. I decided to transfer it to mugs.
Pray Constantly.
And just another shot of books and yarn! Because fun to set up and fun to take pictures and it all looks pretty together!
Happy Wednesday!! Have a very good day!
What are your projects? Did you meet your goals?

I love your mugs!!! They are such a wonderful idea and it would be so nice to have something so personal!
I am really nostalgic about children’s books, too. It makes me so happy to share favourites from my childhood with my own children, especially when my kids connect with the books!
Oh, thank-you! The mugs are lots of fun!
Yes! It is so fun to pass on favorite books and memories from childhood to our children.
I love the pictures! They’re so cheery! And I love those mugs!
Thank-you dearie girl! It’s fun to take bright pictures. 🙂
