I jumped in with my man this week to run some farm errands and right before I left I had Renae snap some pictures, so I could bring you this post today.
This skirt is a long-time favorite. I’m wearing it over in this post, though you really can’t see it too much in those photos.
It was a bit of a cool morning and it warmed up later in the day. This sweatshirt/shirt is really cozy and comfy, but not overly warm. It works well for me on coolish/warmish range days.
I love sweatshirt/flip-flop weather. I like to slip on sandals, yet still snuggle into a sweatshirt or sweater. Perfect!
And, obviously this morning, I’m all about using the forward slash to combine words to try to convey my meaning. Ha!
I felt like a splash of color when I went to grab a flexi for my hair.
My red Regina clip caught my eye.
In it went!
And speaking of flexis here’s the flexi for May if you hadn’t had a chance to see it yet! I really like the swoopies and details of the heart.
I wrapped on my Praying for my Husband bracelet. I liked the leather with the brown of the skirt.
If this is the first time you’ve seen my bracelet wrap, hop over to this post for more details about it.
And my daughter has started a blog and she has an outfit post today, too! Hop over to Wren Writes to read it, if you’d like!
Yesterday we had electricians here to replace the fuse box on our pole outside. The electric was out for a couple of hours, so we decided it was a good time to go run some errands in town.
My kiddos loaded up their ripsticks and we stopped at our local park to use the walking trail they have. It was a wonderful, gorgeous morning and the trees and sun and park were beautiful.
We used to make park visits fairly often when my two were smaller people. I always enjoyed taking them to the park.
Yesterday was no exception!
And guess what they have going on?
The most fun idea! They are hosting Story Walk. The Story Walk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with Kellogg Hubbard Library.
Here’s an explanation from the Kellogg Hubbard website ~ StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. ~
It was so fun to read the story! Cute, cute book. The Dot by Peter Reynolds. I absolutely loved the story. It showed what encouragement, inspiration and someone to believe in you can do!
I may have to gift this book to my baby nieces….or myself! 🙂 🙂
I ran into a friend at the park and she said they switch out the books every week. And fourth graders and under can go to our library after they read the book, answer a few questions about it and receive a prize and entry for a drawing. Such a neat thing! I love the cool ideas people come up with.
Oh, and look at this happy mail that arrived in my mailbox this week! I’m so delighted!
I won a giveaway on Instagram for this necklace from Creative Carmella! Just so thrilled, because I adore her lovely creations.
Have YOU had a good week?
