This is Renae’s knitting. She made a dishcloth pattern a couple of years ago and recently pulled out this bulky chenille type yarn and she’s working in a dishcloth, following her own pattern! I keep seeing her knitting on top of her desk and finally grabbed it this week for pictures!
This stack of books with their pom-pom book markers was on her desk too. I love the bookmarks she made! Renae just finished chemistry and she’s pretty excited about starting physics. She keeps telling me Scienc-y things that fly right on through or over my head!
My knitting….look! It’s growing!
Oh, and last week, I read this post Β about eleven benefits knitting and crocheting add to your health. I found it quite interesting! π
I even have a few dishcloths stacking up. These bright colors have been really fun to work with.
Happy February!
My SSMT verse for Feb 1.
Psalm 119:41
Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise;
Did you see my Steadfast necklace? It’s in this post along with a giveaway package! The giveaway is open for the rest of the week. Go here to enter.
I am loving hearing in the comments the words other people would choose for their necklace or have chosen as their word this year. I love how God lays different things on the hearts of each of us.
I have a big stack of books this week!
I showed you this prayer journal from the Daily Grace Co.
They had a big warehouse sale going on and I ordered one along with some of their beautiful pens.
I really love the format of this prayer journal.
I like how it has several sections and has each section labeled to give you intention and specific thought and prayer in these areas.
Aren’t these pens lovely? I’ve looked at them for a long time and loved them. They are super nice to write with as well.
I love pens and pencils and markers, but some are better! These fall into a LOVE them category for me.
{Go here to see all the pens at The Daily Grace Co.}
I finished Made to Belong and I started into the first couple of lessons of All Things New.
I flipped through Daughters of Grace, but haven’t spent a lot of time in the pages yet.
I started reading Chasing Slow and I find I keep reaching for it when I want to read.
COLOR!!!
I have long loved color. I’m excited to be on the Launch Team for this book and it was fun for it to arrive. It’s packed full of color. I leafed through quite a bit of it one evening.
It has lots of lovely pictures full of bright and cheery colors. There are some fun ideas in the book. A lot of the decor style isn’t so much my style, but it’s still fun to look at it and enjoy the variety of styles and preferences life holds.
I won a copy of this Bake magazine on an Instagram giveaway from @feedfeed back in December. It arrived a couple of weeks ago. I hadn’t taken time to flip through it, but I slowly turned the pages the same evening I flipped through Change Your Home Change Your Life With Color.Β

Those dishcloths…all the heart eyes. And Chasing Slow looks good…I think you told me about it before. .
The dishcloths have been fun! And yes, I mentioned Chasing Slow. It was a fun read!
I have not been knitting much lately, so I told a former aunt, if she had knit spares, I’d love some the color to go with spaghetti sauce! And I got some. looks like good book ideas, too!k
Hooray! That works out very handily! π
