I’ve long seen posts about a “Word for the Year” and enjoyed reading them. But this is the first year I’ve had a word at the beginning of a new year.
As I was preparing my spiral for SSMT Scripture memory and searching for verses, the theme Steadfast emerged and though I had never “officially” chosen a word for the year before, there it was. My 2017 word. I so desire to stand solidly on Christ my Rock, despite circumstances, hurts, fears, SELF! To stand sure in His salvation and love for me.
Steadfast.
So many areas in my life where I desire that deep down steady abiding that becomes more constant, more enduring. Resolute and sure. Fixed on that solid Rock. A wholehearted, unfaltering faithfulness.
I love all of the beautiful creations from @creativecarmella and when I saw her beautiful custom paintings featuring your one word, I was smitten.
It was definitely happy mail when it arrived in my mailbox last week!
I’m thrilled with this visual reminder and “touchstone of remembrance”.

I think the word is elegant that describes the necklace.
I would choose… hope… Leanne
If I won, I’d let my daughter choose a word. Otherwise, I might choose Grace.
My word of the year is Hope. We began a non profit last year, Windows of Hope and this year we plan to be up and running. It’s all about Hope this year!
Thanks for sharing! Blessings on your year and on Windows of Hope.
I would choose the word “grace”.

Dear Deborah,
Again, I will tell you that your posts bring a peacefulness to my heart.
My word would be faith. Faith in everything, brings steadfast hope, trust, love, respect, joy, (and I could go on).
Now I understand why our farms in the midwest are called “the heartland of the United States of America”!!
Thank-you for blessing me with your sweet words, Bonnie!
I love your thoughts on your word.
I would choose the word “VESSEL” there is a lot of personal meaning behind it.
I love the personal meaning that a certain word can have for us and for certain times and seasons in our life. I like how God pours out onto all of us. I like the way He created us all in His image, but each person is unique and our lives and journeys and yes, our “words” are unique!!
I would choose Grace. Thank you for the entry.
I may choose “Hope” but I’m not positive. 🙂
I love the balance necklace.
Wait, is my word lately, wait on the Lord. However abide might be a better word for the necklace. They are beautiful.
I’d pick the word Faith because it’s gotten me through some hard times in my life. Jesus is my strength. Without Him there is no life. Thank you for the chance and the wonderful giveaway 😀
I would choose “love” as my word. I love the necklace above.
I would choose RESPECT
I’m thinking my daughter’s name

I would choose the word Strength as I have had to learn to be strong even when I felt weak.
I would choose warrior as the word. i think it’d be a great mix of such a cute classy necklace and such a strong powerful word.
That would be a neat combination!
I would choose the word “humanist” if I won.
I would choose believe
So fun. My word for this year is silence. Less talking. More listening.

I would choose the word “loved” or “breathe” and gift it to my friend who is in a dark place right now as a constant reminder that she is loved or to take everything one breath at a time.
I would chose “hope.”

I would either choose Faith or Love to put on my necklace! They are beautiful! 🙂
