Did the title of this book catch your attention?
It sure did mine! 🙂
Max Davis has authored over 20 books. This is the first book of his that I have read. Have you read books of his?
It is an easy-to-read book! {That’s my best kind!!!} {Part of the reason Max Lucado is one of my favorite authors.}
Not only easy-to-read, but engaging. Max shares his story and life and how a green-eyed brunette drew him away from sin and introduced Jesus.
I’m about half-way through the book and I am enjoying it.
The longer I live the more I believe that God is invested deeply in each of our stories and He works them all out in a myriad of different ways and through different circumstances and the influence of key people He places in our lives. Praise Him!

It’s been COLD here and so perfect to curl up with a favorite blanket, book and beverage! However, our weather report is calling for a high of sixty tomorrow, dropping to a low of ONE Saturday night!!! How’s that for a change in weather???
I want to finish wrapping some gifts this afternoon and I’ve been organizing a few much-needed areas as well. It’s been a really LONG time since I’ve been able to dig in and do things like I’d like, with my back and surgery. I’m so grateful for every bit of healing and strength I notice.
From the back of the book:
When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette weaves heartwarming and miraculous stories of Jesus showing up in ordinary people, revealing that He knows us and is fully present in our everyday circumstances, especially in our difficulties. Those hurting and weary from worn-out religion are longing for a fresh touch from the living Jesus. Best-selling author Max Davis challenges us to do more than simply receive God’s grace—we need to allow grace to soften, change, and shape us. As you read this book you will laugh, cry, and come face-to-face with the living Jesus, much like Davis did, when he found Him living in a green-eyed brunette. As Davis puts it, “Jesus is very much alive today and still does incredible things—sometimes supernatural things—through us!”
Happy day, friends!
