Friday already!
My week has been an in-and-out week and Friday happened fast. 🙂
This was Renae’s outfit for Independence Day.
Well, she actually wore it on the third.
Our small town set off fireworks on Sunday evening.
If you saw my Ten on Tuesday post, I mentioned this shirt in it.
Renae made it and I’m all kinds of mama-proud about it. It’s so fun to see the things your children do, make, think of, and create.
I’m always intrigued with Renae’s sewing projects. In large part, because it’s not my thing so much and often I wouldn’t even attempt said project. So fun to watch!
She took a shirt she has and used it as her pattern.
She made the stars and sewed the white stripes on top of the red fabric.
I loved how it turned out and how it looks on her!
The Patriot’s Heart flexi was the perfect flexi to wear with the shirt! 🙂
We still have the Stars flexi available in silver, but all the red, white and blue patriotic flexis are sold out.
There are other styles in red and blue and the whole month of July we have this special happening!

Yesterday was plain H.O.T. here. It definitely said summer. I posted a picture on Instagram here proclaiming it to be one of the best summer swimming days!
We had rain earlier and we have rain in the forecast. It did dry out and my farmer man has been hard at it in the fields while he can. We have weeds and grass coming where we don’t want them. He’s been spraying and the tractor and disk will soon be turning their wheels as well.
Renae has been helping at a local church’s VBS each morning this week. She’s thoroughly enjoyed it. Tucker spent quite a few hours in the field during harvest and he’s been at home a good bit this week and hasn’t seemed to mind the break.
I’m thankful for every good day and every peaceful day. Life will not always be as it is today. I believe our world is pulsing. The devil is not idle and it often feels like he’s howling around us.
Press in and pray hard. These words are etched in my mind and often come to mind. I lettered them when I was working on Children of the Day. You can see it over here.
Have a happy weekend!
What a darling shirt and what a sweetie of a daughter to have the talent to sew!
The TOHOT team.
Why, thank-you! I loved how her shirt turned out.
And thank-you for the link up!
