What’s in Your Purse?

Here’s a couple of the questions Carole posed…………

Are you a minimalist? Do you carry around a knapsack?

This story probably sums me up pretty well.

I was telling my husband a little bit about the book At Home In The World. I told him they packed one backpack a piece for their travels across the globe for close to a year. {That’s minimalism.} He quipped in reply, “You do that every time you leave the house.” I laughed. Hard. ‘Cause he’s kinda right. ALTHOUGH he has been known to exaggerate on occasion. 😉

I’m not a minimalist. I like to feel prepared. FEEL, anyway. 😉

However, I don’t like toting a heavy bag.

Sometimes I have a bag with a few items I keep in my car so they’re available if I need them, but I don’t have to carry them everywhere.

I like bags. These are the ones I use mostly and have been my go-tos for several years.

The four on the left are all from Thirty-One. I really love my bags from them!

The colors of this small tote make me happy. Adding a felt flower pin makes a fun pop! This one was a gift from my sister.

This is my Retro Metro tote. I love the big dots and once again I added a felt flower. I made this pin at a craft class Renae and I attended a couple of years ago.

Sometimes I like carrying a tote bag that I can easily throw everything in.

This is my other tote. It’s more of a rectangle shape and the chevron and colors are super fun! I’ve added a flower to it sometimes as well.

The Thirty-One bags usually have several pockets and they have extra little details I really like. Both totes have a key clip in them to easily fasten keys or something else you want easy access to.

This is the slingback bag.

My phone slides perfectly into this front pocket!

This bag is so much a fave of mine. It’s very roomy.

Besides the fact that they’re cute, these are the bags I grab when I want to be hands-free. I can wear both of them as cross-body bags and I love that about them. When we went garage saleing a few weeks ago, I made sure I took one of these.

The bright chevron has been in my collection since 2013. We had a giveaway for the same bag in another color in this post. The giveaway is long past, but you can still peek at the bag! {If you love bags like I do!}

Here’s what you’ll mostly find INSIDE my bag.

I’m a fan of small bags or organizers.

I have a couple of organizer bags I use sometimes that aren’t pictured. One of them is often in my bag for my vehicle. Here’s one similar to what I use.

I’ve used different bags and methods, but you will almost always find small bags inside my bag. 🙂 🙂

My sunglasses are an important item I try to always have along with me.

Fingernail clipper set and pill organizer.

I LOVE having this clipper set. No more digging around for fingernail clippers. And it never failed if I needed clippers, I couldn’t find them. Now I can pull out this case and clip away! Ha!

This is my book of color swatches and it’s usually in my bag. I LOVE it too! {You can read more about it here.}

Kleenex, lip stuff and peppermints! Three essentials.

I love my EOS lip balm. The round shape makes it easy to grab from inside a bag.

Sometimes I have a Lilla Rose magazine and a notebook tucked in. They’re usually in my car bag!

This coupon organizer goes along sometimes! I’ve had it for a long time too and love the colors and flowers.

I’m a receipt keeper so I can update my bookwork, so my bag often has some receipts tucked into a pocket.

That sums it up for me…………the things that I like to have handy or on call for my family members who tend to ask me for things!
