Just in time for Valentine’s Day! It’s a giveaway for a copy of The Flirtation Experiment.
This book is authored by Lisa Jacobsen and Phylicia Masonheimer.
I appreciate the dual perspective we receive. Lisa has been married for nearly thirty years and Phylicia married for seven. Both bring insights, struggles, differing personality perspectives, practical fun, ups and downs, and real-life stories and experiences.
Aaaand…..the byline of this book is delightful ~ “Putting magic, mystery, and spark into your everyday marriage.” Who doesn’t want that for their marriage? 🙂
It appeals to me also, because here at A Delightful Glow, I’ve long leaned into finding delight in our everyday. Add extra to the ordinary. Give gratitude for each good day.
This is my ideal. I falter along in it and end up in the ditch much more often than I’d care to. Yet, our days are our lives. Much of life and marriage and relationships happen in the mundane and the dirty dishes and the work-a-day jobs. So, I am all for finding magic and spark in any small way or corner. For even the smallest of sparks pierces the darkness.
Each chapter in this book is a one-word title and has either Lisa or Phylicias’s name to indicate who wrote which chapter.
A few of the chapters ~
- Chapter 1 ~ Affection
- Chapter 3 ~ Playfulness
- Chapter 6 ~ Adventure
- Chapter 11 ~ Vulnerability
- Chapter 13 ~ Affirmation
- Chapter 16 ~ Delight
- Chapter 22 ~ Rest
- Chapter 26 ~ Tenderness
- Chapter 28 ~ Hope
I appreciate the author’s insights and attention to each attribute they give focus to in the chapters. I also appreciate how they address some misteachings and mistakes surrounding marriage.
This book is full of lovely encouragement and simply a reminder of the renewal, the commitment, the purposefulness required for our most deeply meaningful relationships.
You can download the first two chapters here and order a copy right here if you don’t want to wait for the giveaway or you would like to gift the book.

I had trouble doing this from my phone and then I got busy and now I am back and I see my entries registered but I cannot recall what I was supposed to comment here…..

Teehee! I completely understand! It doesn’t matter. It’s just fun to give people a specifi question and I always enjoy the answers.
The question was…. “Tell me ~ one or two or three of your favorite things about your spouse?”
I’ve had trouble with Rafflecopter on my phone too and I don’t know how to resolve it. I don’t know if it’s a problem with my website or with Rafflecopter itself.
