Our giveaway today is a book about marriage!
You know something I love about reading books and stories shared by others?
I like the inspiration they offer.
If I read a book about home or organization, it inspires me in my homemaking.
If I pick up a Parenting book {like our previous giveaway for Parenting} I’m encouraged in my work as a mother.
My photography book gets me trying new settings and angles.
A funny book makes me laugh and brings me delight and offers relaxed leisure.
AND………..a book on marriage gives me focus on my marriage and the things I love about it and my man, and ways I can work to deepen and grow our relationship.
Here’s an excerpt from the back cover about the book ~
The Blessings of Unity offers insight and ideas for creating godly unity in our marriages centered around two key concepts:
1) Abiding in the Vine and walking in the Spirit, and
2) Learning and applying the concept of unity.
Unity is achieved when a man and woman strive for agreement with God by processing His Will on every decision and in every issue.
Through Biblically-centered discussions of discord, division, unity, discipleship, and prayer, and through exploring Biblical examples of unity, Richard Case offers husbands and wives practical and spiritual advice for working together in unity in the Spirit so that they can more perfectly present themselves to God for his divine approval.

I love marriage books for the same reason. A few of my favorites that I tend to reread are:1. Sex Begins In The Kitchen by Dr. Kevin Leman (because love is an all day affair) 2. Men are Like Waffles Women Are Like Spaghetti By Bill & Pam Farrel (have met this couple and they are a blast) 3. Red Hot Monogamy – Making Your Marriage Sizzle by Bill & Pam Farrel 4. Boundaries in Marriage by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend 5. Becoming a Couple of Promise by Dr. Kevin Leman
Thanks for this chance
I’ve read Sheet Music by Dr. Kevin Lehman and I liked it. Sounds like I will have to add Bill & Pam Farrel to my want-to-read list. I’ve never read their books. Thanks for recommending them. I like hearing about books other people like.
I’ve read Boundaries, but not any of the other Boundaries titles. I really liked it. I also started {a while ago} Necessary Endings, but haven’t finished it.
I really like Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.
My husband and I really like the book “Love and Respect” also. We have given many copies out to young married couples.
I also really love to learn about the women of the bible. Some of the books I really like are:
“Beyond Sex Roles” a guide for the study of female roles in the bible by Gilbert Bilezikian (we went to church with Dr. B and he was a friend of my parents-great godly man) “Bad Girls of the Bible” and “REeally Bad Girls of the Bible” by Liz Curtis Higgs “All The Women of the Bible” by Herbert Lockyer “Ester” by Charless Swindoll Francine Rivers wrote 5 books “Unashamed” (Rahab) “Unveiled” (Tamar) “Unafraid” (Mary) “Unshaken” (Ruth) “Unspoken” (Bathsheba)
Good books make great gifts!
I’ve read the Francine Rivers books and two of my favorite Bible studies are Ruth by Kelly Minter and Esther by Beth Moore.
