We farm one circle, owned by our neighbor’s, that has an irrigation system on it. This system has tirelessly pumped water, both this summer and last. HOT and DRY. I know that fresh, abundant water is a blessing, but these last two years have made that fact even more apparent.
Last summer, we watered our lawn and I so enjoyed looking out the window at the sprinkler. Just watching it was refreshing. This year, with our move, there isn’t much to water but stickers and we really aren’t wanting to encourage them.
I like listening to the waterers too. I like the sound of the sprinkler and the sound of the end gun on the irrigation system.
Water is so beautiful.
The produce which water helps bring forth from God’s earth is amazing. It is also amazing at how much more a rain does than simply watering.
We all need water, man! (Have you seen the “I’m Farming and I Grow It” video?)
Blessed by water. So blessed.
Genesis 2:4-6
This is the historyof the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

Your pics are awesome! Love them! And yes, water is such a blessing. I take is it for granted that I can walk to my faucet and get clean water anytime I want. Want it hot? Just turn the faucet handle the other way. Want it colder? Just go to the freezer and get some ice. Want to cool off? Just jump in a pool full of water. And I tend to forget there are those who walk miles every day throught all kinds of horrid conditions just to get a bucket of water. Blessed we are. Blessed indeed.

I agree. I take all that for granted too. Every time I really stop and think about it, I am so thankful for water.
Beautiful pictures. A good reminder that good, clean, clear water is a wonderful blessing that we so easily take for granted. What feels better than a refreshing shower after a hard day of work?! Or a good, cold drink of water after working in the hot sun? Such luxury!
It is a luxury!
Found your post via Faith Filled Friday. It usually does not get too dry where I live, but this summer it has. It really made me appreciate water- and especially God’s wonderful rain showers!
There’s nothing like not having something we take for granted, to make us thankful for it! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
makes me think about what is essential for personal growth! where’s the water in my life? thanks for the great photos and thoughts.
Great thought. We have essentials spiritually and physically, that’s for sure!
