1. The nativity scene. I love nativities. I mentioned that yesterday in my Monday post. I have a Willow Tree large nativity and a children’s pageant nativity scene and a resin nativity that I bought the first year we were married and the first year I had my own “nest” to decorate for Christmas. When I became a mama and had cute little people who liked to play with my nativities, I was thrilled that Fisher Price came out with a Little People Nativity. We’ve had it for years now and still get it out and set it up! When M’s brothers had their first babies, we gave each family one of the Fisher Price nativities for our baby nieces’ first Christmas.
2. Christmas Lights. I love all the twinkling white lights. It’s cheery and inspiring to drive down the street punctuated with outlined houses in the dark early evenings.
3. Food. Fun. Family. Laughter. Love. Life. Merriness. Memory making. Music.
4. Gifts and stockings. I like giving gifts and I like wrapping gifts in beautiful paper. We always had stockings when I was growing up and I do them for my kiddos. There’s something so intriguing about a lumpy, bumpy, bulgy stocking!
5. Chocolate. Christmas and New Year’s should include chocolate. I love all the festively wrapped candy.
6. Christmas carols and Christmas songs. O Holy Night sung by Martina McBride is one of my favorites!
7. Watching The Very First Noel. It is an animated telling of the Christmas Story. We’ve had this dvd since the children were small and it has become one of our traditions. I also love to watch It’s a Wonderful Life.
8. Snacks. I like having appetizer food at Christmastime.
9. Going to my mother’s and my sister’s house. I love to see all their Christmas decor.
10. Fixing a special meal for our little family’s Christmas celebration. I always fix some of our favorite recipes. We don’t have the same things every year, but it is always foods on our favorites list!
Tell me three of your favorite things about this Christmas and holiday season! Or list ten if you’d like!! 🙂

I love stocking stuffers. That’s my favorite thing to buy at Christmas.
It is fun to see what fun stuff you can find for stockings!
I really LOVE beautiful wrapping paper, too! And Chocolate! Gotta have chocolate.
For quite a few years, I have enjoyed getting paper that coordinates or used all of one kind. It makes the pile of gifts so pretty and it is fun to choose a theme each year.
Oh yes! Chocolate! I like to get Toblerone and Symphony bars.
