Hello to summer weather and temperatures arriving! It was high 90’s and even 101 last week. Hello to early morning walks and to watering and weeding. Hello to planting some more sweet corn and hello to mowing. Hello to summertime activities and fun!
Hello to wheat that’s turning golden and hello to a Sunday harvest drive down south. There were quite a few combines starting to cut. We saw several custom cutter crews. The trucks and grain carts looked like they were not overly busy or rushed, indicating what we’ve been thinking~this year is probably not going to be any bushel record-breaking year in this area. We’ve had lots of dry weather, but have been thankful for all the moisture we have received.
Hello to lots of work on irrigation systems this week. Hello to me and my kiddos lending a hand to our farmer daddy and helping put sprinklers on one of the systems. Hello to finishing pulling some rye.
Hello go-cart acting up and pulling it home with the four-wheeler. Hello to outside play and water play! Hello to messing around with our pop-up pool. I didn’t think we were even going to get it up, but we kept messing and taping the ring and it is up, so maybe the kiddos will get a few more hours of fun out of it.
Hello to cooking up rhubarb and hello to sneaking in a couple of naps. Hello to phone calls and planning a lunch and hello to a big grocery shopping trip. Hello to starting the Bible study, Gideon! Hello to cleaning~doctor’s office and our house! Hello to going swimming with friends. Hello to Father’s Day and rejoicing in the daddy we have. Hello to reading books and hello to this week! It’s going to be busy!
Blessings on your week!

Enjoying the pics of the wheat. Have been wondering what it is looking like. Pulling the go-cart home looks hilarious! God bless you as you start another week.
It was funny to see them coming with the go-cart. And nice that they could take care of it themselves.
The wheat is pretty despite the year we’ve had. I always enjoy seeing it ripen up.
Love the pics of the wheat! And it’s always fun to see what you have been doing!

I love the wheat too! Amazing to think of the potential in that tiny grain of wheat planted in the ground. God’s creation speaks of His awesomeness and amazingness everywhere we look.
Beautiful photos. Yes, hello summer. Isn’t it great? Sounds like you are off to a great start.

I’m always glad for summer, even though we can have lots of hot temperatures. It’s just a nice change after winter!
