We actually had thunder and lightning and rain last night! Not much rain, but rain! Rain that we need so badly. Praise to the Ruler of the Wind and Rain!
Job 37:5-7
God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, “Fall on the earth”; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work. NKJV
God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power. He directs the snow to fall on the earth and tells the rain to pour down. Then everyone stops working so they can watch his power. NIV
Job 37:5-13
No one can mistake that voice— His word thundering so wondrously, his mighty acts staggering our understanding. He orders the snow, “Blanket the earth!” and the rain, “Soak the whole countryside!” No one can escape the weather—it’s there. And no one can escape from God. Wild animals take shelter, crawling into their dens, when blizzards roar out of the north and freezing rain crusts the land. It’s God’s breath that forms the ice, it’s God’s breath that turns lakes and rivers solid. And yes, it’s God who fills clouds with rainwater and hurls lightning from them every which way. He puts them through their paces—first this way, then that—commands them to do what he says all over the world. Whether for discipline or grace or extravagant love, he makes sure they make their mark. The Message

Praise God for sending the showers. I’m trying to decide if the picture is taken from your downstairs patio door. Did you put a bird bath where the firepit had been? At first I was focused on the bird bath then I looked at the background, then I noticed the patio. That’s when it started to look familiar. Like it!
You guessed it! Matthew put the birdbath on top of the fire pit sometime this summer. It was too hot for a campfire!
YAAAAY!!!! I wonder if it rained enought to wash off our terrible dirty windows? Enjoying this windy Ohio day!:)
Well, it seems to be holding to the pattern we’ve had all summer. The further north you go from our house the wetter it gets. I’m just so happy to have it try at least!
Wasn’t that rain fantastic! Not enough of it, (short of raining for days, it’s not enough) but I’m happy getting any! I’m in Wichita and your sister and I have been chatting today. She told me about your blog and that you were a fellow Kansas girl, so I had to come check you out! Hope you have a lovely evening!!
Thanks for stopping by! It’s fun “knowing” other bloggers that are somewhat close by. 🙂
