Happy Easter!
It’s only a bunch of pretty ordinary pictures because they’re pretty.
I grow more and more thankful for beauty.
And I decided this week that I think I will buy chocolate bunnies for my children until I die! 🙂 {Because chocolate bunnies are important….}
Chocolate eggs and flop-eared bunnies are from Winans. I fell in love with them when we were in Ohio in March. My sister has some very gorgeous photos on her blog right here of the Easter chocolates from Winans.
That’s really all. I really just wanted to post these pictures because I loved them.
Oh wait! I do have just a bit more. I started jotting these words down the other day and I will share them here.
………………………………………………………………………….
I love Easter. I love springtime. I don’t feel I really even grasp the sacrifice Jesus made on my behalf, but I love Him so for it. For a buncha, buncha years I’ve sent out Easter cards instead of Christmas. I’ve loved doing this for several reasons that just worked better for me. {blog post about it here.} But this year I didn’t. Back in March I slowly and deliberately crossed it off my to-do list. Part of me cried a little. Part of me was relieved. I love happy mail. I love all the greetings and pictures we receive at Christmas time and through the holidays. Part of me was sad to give it up. I do enjoy sending them and sharing happy mail with others. But to everything there is a time and a season. And this year, it seemed to be the time and season to let it go. I am learning that there are many times it is WORTH IT to go the extra mile, to take a few minutes to make something special, to show up when you can and on the flip side I’m also learning that I will never, never accomplish all the things I long to or carry out all the ideas I have or be able to do things for everyone. The trick for me is figuring out which things stay and go. It will be an ever learning and an ever changing process.
Happy Easter all the same!!

Yes, accepting when a good thing may not be the best thing… That is a hard balance. May God give you wisdom as you seek His beauty and His will.
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
Oh my goodness, yes! The knowing and the seeking balance! I always am, I think. 🙂
Thank-you for your sweet words.
We had a very good Easter Sunday and I hope you did too. Spring is such a wonderful time of year and a perfect time to celebrate life in Jesus.
