Happy Wednesday! Happy March!
I needed some bright and happy color in my life, so I started knitting a bright orange dishcloth. The color makes me very happy!
We have a JORD gift certificate giveaway going on, if you’d like to go over here and enter. I tell you this, to jump into my next bit. 🙂 Haha! {Well, and so you can enter the giveaway if you haven’t had a chance to, yet.}
I’ve been sending my email comrades a question on Monday mornings for a short time. {If you’d like added to this, you can sign up here.}
This week with the post about a beautiful watch and words about time on my mind, I asked this.
Do you still wear a watch and do you have a favorite watch? Do you have any special memories about a watch? I can still picture the watch my Grandma often wore, as well as the watch my Mother wore for years.
With the ushering in of the cell phone age, watches aren’t as readily worn. I love trivia and hearing about products people love or what makes someone tick, 😉 so I love hearing answers to questions like this. Tell me ~ I’d love to hear!

Thinking about time, how quickly it goes by and how we are never guaranteed time, sets a wonderful backdrop for this recent review of mine for B&H/Lifeway.
Devotedly by Valerie Elliot Shepard.
I’ve also recently read Suffering Is Never For Nothing by Elisabeth Elliot. These two books would make a neat gift set paired together.

Devotedly is a beautiful compilation of letters exchanged between Jim and Elisabeth. It shares journal entries and contains pictures and poems from their history. It portrays their desire and devotion to love, follow and serve the Lord. Their daughter, Valerie Elliot Shepard, puts it all together with her perspective and thoughts.
Another unique aspect of this book lies in the letters themselves, in our current day of emails, texts and instant messaging. The preservation of written word down through history really is a gift, whether it be books, letters or cards.
Anyone who has been inspired by Jim and Elisabeth Elliot will enjoy reading this book and taking a deeper look at this side of their story and the insight and inspiration in the pages. Even if you aren’t overly familiar with Jim and Elisabeth’s story, this book is intriguing and interesting. Not only in the adventures, decisions and hardships they face, but in the beautiful model of their loyal faith and fear of God.

I have two coming-soon books I want to mention today! {I have a list of ten books I’m excited about in 2019, right over here, if you’re interested.}
These two books are both slated to release on April 2nd and they’re both books I recommend pre-ordering. They both contain rich and beautiful words to encourage each of us right where we are in whatever we are walking through.
First, it was a podcast and now it’s become a book! The Next Right Thing by Emily P. Freeman.

IF you are even a teeny bit interested in pre-ordering The Next Right Thing, you’re probably going to want to, simply to snag all these great bonuses.
You will receive:
the audiobook ~ read by Emily
Discern & Decide Online Course
and a fun behind-the-scenes interview with Emily
Order the book here {or wherever you best love to order books} and then jump over to http://nextrightthingbook.com/ and fill out the form to receive the bonuses.

The second book is Glorious Weakness by Alia Joy.
This book is balm for all our broken places and resting in the glorious weakness we carry in our flesh because we have a Jesus who is our strength.
I don’t know the specifics of pre-order bonuses for this book yet, but I know they’re coming. The book site and share squares are right here.

I love book recommendations too! Tell me what you’ve been reading and loving!
