Time is something I’m a broken record about. I continually feel the pull of it, the dash of it as it sweeps away. Each revolution around the clock, as hands circle its face.

Time gives to us and time steals from us. Time keeps us on track as well as becoming lost from us.
Time can’t exactly be measured, yet much is put into the accounting of time.
Babies and wrinkles and birthdays all point to the passage of time and the march of time.

I read a recent meme on Instagram on a Friday. It was cheering on the passage of time as it rejoiced that “we’d made it through another week.”
I’ve been musing on this. I get it. Some weeks we’re so glad to get through by the skin of our teeth and happy to have the days disappear behind us. Fact is, I’m pretty glad to see last week go.

We spent the week sick. All four of us, coughing, chilling with fever and crashing on the couches. It was a nasty illness and I certainly wasn’t expecting it to assail our household or linger as long as it did.
So, yes. To say I’m more than glad to see the week and the fever go, sums it up tidily.
At the same time, I know how fleeting time is. Too often I find myself wishing it away for this reason or that. Racing willy-nilly after something in the urgent.

When I ponder, I don’t want my life to play out as a series of days and weeks I’m always trying to “make it through.” I know we will always have valleys and discouragements and achy, ugly times we’re glad to escape.
Be that as it may, I don’t want to miss the beauty in my time. It makes me think of this quote I recently read from Sally Clarkson ~ “Sometimes we have to intentionally see and list the blessings of God in our lives, to fight the voices of bitterness and anxiety.”

Even in the fever and hacking coughs, there were blessings. A warm house. Cough medicine. Chicken noodle soup. Couches and blankets. Fresh water. 7up. Food delivered by a sweet neighbor. Old movies to watch. Cozy socks. Essential oils. Hot baths.
There was even some fun packages in the mail! Bright spots among the dullness of incessant coughing.
One of them held a watch from JORD. A timepiece crafted with beauty and timelessness.
A gift of time, if you will!

I’m grateful to collaborate with JORD today and share this watch with you, as well as a giveaway to enter to win a $100 gift certificate.

Time truly is a gift. Each second softly tick-tocking, tick-tocking, tick-tocking.
Beauty blesses me and I love the beautiful detail crafted in these watches. I used to wear a watch every day, as did my good farmer man. With the arrival of cell phones, our watch-wearing habits changed. I still love a pretty watch and enjoy wearing one for special occasions. I’m excited to add this Frankie watch to my wardrobe. I really love the navy face. Navy is one of “my colors.” {Post about colors here.} Don’t you love the look of my Navy Leather 8 with it as well? It makes me happy! 🙂
My Frankie watch looks lovely on my dresser with a few favorite bracelets and necklaces, awaiting the opportunity to grace my wrist! 🙂
