I’m hoping to eventually have some plants along the south and back of our porch. I picked up a few at Wal-Mart right at the beginning of harvest. They were clearancing everything out, so I decided to snag a few and stick them in. I’m trying a couple of hydrangeas. Not sure how they’re going to fare. We shall see! I hope they grow. I love hydrangeas. I’d like to have peonies too. I’d also like to put in spring bulbs out around the edge of our woods. I wrote it on my planner for this fall, so we’ll see if perhaps I get it done.
I have been absolutely loving having flowerpots on my porch this year. They have been so fun!
One of them got blown over twice, which wasn’t too helpful for it, and then I am wondering if I also over watered it. It was beautiful and now looks rather terrible. I keep waiting to see if it will pull out, but I’m starting to think it won’t. On the upside, the rest seem to be doing well.
A glimpse down the porch ~
This John Deere planter box has been a fun, fun spot in between the garage doors.
I can see these pots and this rocker from my kitchen window and have enjoyed it immensely. The rocker was my Grandma’s and she had some other outdoor furniture that matched it. It makes me think of her backyard and this outdoor furniture sitting in it for years.
Every year we’ve been in our farmhouse, I’ve had hanging pots on each end of the clothesline. I love them there! They add a happy, summery, country look.
