It hit me this morning.
It’s so easy to fall into routine and life and to-do lists. Life has bumps and frustrations and stresses. Even if some of them we bring on ourselves unnecessarily. Even if some of them are put upon us and we have no choice in them. Sometimes life doesn’t feel fun or funny.
But today, I’m choosing to Laugh More.
My toddlers have grown into getting-big-and-grown-up-people and they don’t say the funny-toddler things anymore. BUT, they also see humor in things and they like jokes and they bring laughter in different ways. I appreciate laughter and humor. It is good for the soul.
So, my goal today?!!
Laugh More.

Just stopping over from the Harvest of Friends Weekend Blog Hop. Love your children’s outfits!
Have a nice weekend! Kim (This Ole Mom)
Thanks for coming by! I loved those outfits too! They are much too little now! Sniff!! The years fly……..
awe! so sweet! good reminder to laugh!
Everything is more fun with laughter~but so easy for me to forget and get caught up in all the have-tos and want-tos.
Those were fun days! And so swiftly they passed. Makes me want to hang on to each day with whatever it holds. Little kids are so fun but so are teens and preteens. π
Time seems to get swifter and swifter!! I can’t believe how fast a day speeds by. But sometimes I stop and think about A. Donna saying she would lay there and think surely and hour had passed and she’d look at the clock and it would’ve only been 5 minutes. makes me appreciate that I am busy and feel good and that time wings by.
Oh how sweet! Oh to hug that little BLOND boy again! And squeeze that lovely little girlie! Where has the time gone?!??? It brings tears to my eyes to look back at the pics of our little dollys. It’s so fun to see them grow into the men and women that God created them to be but OH it can be bittersweet too.
I remember when I had toddlers and a baby and wondered what it would be like to have big kids that actually talked to me. Now I almost forget what it was like to have all the baby chatter and adorable little girl voices all over the house. Life moves on – must keep living … and laughing!
Before we know it our dollys will have their own little dollys!! I was sniffing around over my blondie boy too! π And remembering how full of it our Punky was! There was a time when I couldn’t imagine having a nine year old. What in the world would you do with one? Now I don’t even have nine year olds anymore. There are lots of things I love about older kids and I know these years are going to go even faster!!
Hi, Stopping over from A Proverbs 31 Wife. Beautiful pictures of such precious children. Laughter is so good for the soul and for getting through difficult times. Joy is essential.
Kim
Thanks for stopping by! Joy is so essential, isn’t it?! Well said.
My youngest (of 4) turned eight yesterday. It’s hard to admit that the kids are getting to the age where the cute and hilarious things that they say lessens. It will be hard to find creative ways to be intentional about laughing, but I can see that the rewards could be huge! And really…even my almost-thirteen-year-old still makes me laugh-so maybe as yours continue to grow, you can find new ways to think about something they have said or done that will bring out the humor! Stopping from Proverbs 31 hop!
Older kids are fun because they “get” the humor in situations and they start joking around with you! It’s fun to laugh together!
Such cute pictures! We get such a kick out of the things Bexley says and does but it sure it awfully fun to have big boys to talk with and laugh at my jokes. Bittersweet to think about though!
