I liked this outfit my daughter put together and we ventured out one morning and I snapped pictures!
We had fun with this Spring/Summer Style post over here.
The hat is mine, but it looks much cuter on Renae. She’s been wearing it a lot. I bought it for our trip to Hatteras. I love hats, but don’t wear them much. I did want one for the beach and bought this one from Kohls.
Both knees of these jeans have worn holes, but Renae fixed them with cute fabric and embroidery work around the holes. I loved the color of her shirt and its proclamation of happiness and the flower on it and the floral design of the jeans patches.
It struck me recently how for many girls, putting together an outfit is a creative thing and a fun thing, just the same as drawing a picture or sewing a pillow or baking a beautiful loaf of bread. I’ve loved realizing that so many of the things we do and enjoy are art forms, whether it is an outfit or detailing a vehicle or loving landscaping or putting together a gift basket! God has given us all unique gifts and loves.
It has refreshed me to realize that beauty and art come straight from God’s heart and He has blessed us with the ability to delight in things.
I’m no fashion designer, but I do enjoy pairing clothes and finding things I love and outfits that make me happy. I love seeing my daughter’s style emerge, too, as she gets older and enjoys putting clothes together.
Is “creating outfits” one of your things?

I do like to put fun outfits together! It’s been especially fun since I began my THM journey and my weight has come down and my clothes sizes have come down. I love Renae’s outfit too – she’s such a cutie!
