Today in our wardrobe, we have an outfit of Renae’s again. Yay!
She’s wearing a denim vest.
She made this vest from a denim dress. The dress was too short and she wasn’t wearing it much and she decided to take the top of it and refashion it into a vest. She took the skirt and sleeves off and uses it like this.
I thought it was a fun idea. Denim is a wardrobe staple, in my opinion.
I really like the vest with this white sweater. I’ve always liked the look of denim and lace and denim and pearls.
{Hop over here to see the denim napkin holders I made. I mentioned the denim and pearls look in that post,Β thus it popped into my head as I was typing this! π }
The sweater has a bit of a story too. Renae actually wears it backwards for this outfit. It has a couple of buttons in the front and something about the way it comes together it looks better to wear it like this. With a vest, you can’t see the back and it works out wonderfully well!
ThereΒ areΒ tricks and tweaks to everything!
Renae’s cute key necklace was made by my niece and her cousin. You can see Emma over in this Wardrobe post ~
In her hair ~ Lilla Rose hairsticks!
I like the hairsticks on Renae so well. They just fit her style.
You can find this Freestyle set of sticks in blonde right here ~
or you can find them in black right here.
If you want to see more hairstick pictures, come look in this post.
She paired her sweater and vest with a favorite pair of jeans and GOOD TO GO!!!
{She has a t-shirt on under the sweater, JUST IN CASE you were wondering.}
I don’t have a closeup picture, but her little bracelet she made from some leftover ruffly fabric. It came from the ruffled scarves my sister makes.
I’m wearing one of the ruffled scarves back in this post if you’d like to see it!
What favorites do you find yourself pulling out of your closet in January?
We’ve had beautiful sunshine and 50’s and 60’s the last couple of days. {Clapping hands.} We’ll take that kind of January weather any ole time!

Love her outfit! And I LOVE how she created that vest out of something she wasn’t wearing anymore – thus reclaiming it instead of sending it off to the goodwill π And I love the hair sticks on her too – she’s such a a cutie. Just like her mama!
I always enjoy seeing what she comes up with! The hairsticks do look really cute on her. So fun!
