Snuggles and cuddles and hugs, oh my! This book is bringing them! Each two-page spread in this board book by Glenys Nellist features an animal with rhyming words about snuggling intermingled with the way God cares for us.
Let’s look inside!
{Plus, a giveaway for a copy of this book at the bottom of the post} 🙂
Grandma Snuggles is so very adorable. Each page starts with “I have a snuggly grandma…”
I’ve probably said it a few hundred times, but I love the art and illustrations in children’s picture books.
Old books. New books. On-my-shelf-for-a-few-years-books.
All the designs and sweet adorableness caught in different styles from a variety of artist’s pens, pencils, or paintbrushes. God certainly has written creativity into the heart of His created people.
My daughter had snipped a few wild sunflowers and arranged a bouquet for my kitchen table and one for her room. I happily snatched one out to use in this photo shoot!
Isn’t the dog toy cute? The bright colors caught my eye along with the happy expressions puppy and grandma are wearing.
Here’s the rhyme for the Grandma Rabbit page ~
“I have a snuggly grandma,
We live beneath the ground.
We nuzzle in our burrow.
Where God keeps us safe and sound.
She rocks me in her big, soft paws,
Until I fall asleep,
God made her extra snuggly —
She’s the one I’ll keep!”
The final pages have a rhyme about MY grandma! It pictures a fun and delightful cookie time together in the kitchen.
It concludes with the verse from James reminding us every good and perfect gift certainly comes from God.

September is coming!
Are you a pumpkin spice fan?! I always look forward to a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks and a pumpkin pie concrete from Freddy’s
Thank you for the chance for this adorable book. Things I am particularity happy in my life right now:
1) That I still wake up every morning and can read my Bible and continue my life with The Lord by my side
2) That I can talk to family and friends daily
3) The weather is cooling down and I can bring in veggies from the garden and freeze/can
Thank you so much, Lori!
Oh, I love your list! Blessings indeed. Do you have a favorite veggie you can/freeze?
I like to grow a lot of green/red/orange peppers and freeze them in packets of 1 cup. This way I can just pull them out and put them in the dish. And because I chop them or cut them in strips they are already to use. I also like to freeze chopped onions and zucchini and tomato sauce. I do a lot of canning of salsa. I like adding cucumber to my salsa. Gives it a really nice extra flavor. I also like to use peaches instead of cucumber in my salsa’s.
Thank you so much Deborah, for the wonderful review of Grandma Snuggles and the lovely photos!
You are so welcome! Such a delightful book. Congratulations on its release. 🙂
Three happy good things is easy as I’m very blessed by God–my family is well and healthy; I have a beautiful home in a safe neighborhood; and I have opportunities to exercise everyday.
A wonderful list! Rejoicing in today.
