These little packages make me so happy.
They were fun to fix up.
I had a last-minute-lunch with friends a couple of weeks ago and the last-minute-idea that it’d be fun to take gifts along for my girlfriends.
I’d picked these Chinese take-out style gift boxes up at a Target one time and still had three of them. Just right. I was meeting three friends.
Three boxes=Three friends.
The fun tags came from Ikea when I shopped there with my sister-in-law back in February.
I don’t know about you, but I think there’s something fun about a gift begging you to open it!
The tags paired perfectly with these boxes.
And they all looked so cute together for a quick photo shoot before I needed to head out the door or be late for lunch. And I, for one, did not want to be late either for lunch and for time with old, dear friends.
I tucked in lip balm like this over here in one of my favorite finds posts, and some chocolate and a votive and tealight. Girly type stuff. 🙂
I added some colored, shredded Easter grass on top and closed the boxes up.
I love to gift package when inspiration strikes.
And doncha know? Great minds think alike! One of my friends said she seriously considered bringing small gifts, but then didn’t. Another of my friends did come bearing gift bags and specially selected votives for each of us. We all had different flavors of votives, so in true girl style we oohed and awed over each kind and passed them around and looked at each one. Gotta love girl time! Makes me laugh as I type this.
My friend knew I love the Lemon Lavender from Yankee and that I am such a Red Raspberry fan. I tucked the votives into a corner of my kitchen counter and have enjoyed looking at them and thinking about the fun lunch we had and my friend who gave them to me.
A few years ago the four of us friends decided to try to make a point of getting together at least a couple of times a year or once a season. It goes too long between at times, but then we try again and make it happen eventually!

So cute!!!! You are so creative!
Beth (A Mom’s Life) recently posted…Science Expo!
Well, thank-you! I don’t tend to think of myself as creative, because most of the time the stuff I put together isn’t homemade, but recently a few things I’ve read have me thinking that we all have our own brand of creativity. It just comes out in different areas. And I think that’s kind of cool. And it made me realize that several things I do ARE creative. I just always thought of sewing or art or painting etc. but creating is a huge field! My husband is great at welding stuff~a skill I certainly don’t have!
This is such a clever idea. I love how the cute tags, too! Thanks for sharing with us at the Home Matters #homematters linky party. We love having you and hope you join us again.
Thank-you! I enjoy putting gift packages together. Thanks for coming by and for the link up!
