Happy, happy June!
21 days until summer is official on the calendar and we have the longest day of the year, the most hours of daylight and sunlight of all the year!!!
June is always spelled in my mind as B U S Y. Because H A R V E S T. 🙂 On a primarily wheat farm, ripe wheat equates income. Ripe wheat needs cut and it’s a busy bustle of long hours mixed with an excited buzz. The combine rumbles through the field gobbling the grain as it eats up each field of waving wheat.
June also means summer. I love the idealization of the lazy, hazy days of summer, though I’m never sure it quite plays out in real life like it does in my head. 😉
Nevertheless, to celebrate and bring on summer, I have a great, big Bookstack giveaway today!
Imagine yourself in a lovely hammock swinging in the shade, locusts buzzing, lawnmower droning and the smell of fresh mown grass wafting on the breeze. Your glass of lemonade beads sweat beside you and you adjust your pillow and turn the next page.
Aaaaah!!!! Isn’t that relaxing already?!!!!

I have ten books to send one of my reader friends to kick off YOUR summer!
As a book reviewer, book lover, avid reader, book launch team member, and all-things-books person, I end up with extra copies and some fantastic books.
I thought it would be great fun to launch into June by putting together this stack of books and throwing a giveaway!

Let’s check this Bookstack out!

Dwelling
Melissa Michaels has a great line of books about creating home and cozy spaces that fit YOU and your style! This is her newest. I love all her books.

Emptied
A beautiful book about the blessing of marriage and the work it takes! My review of this book is in this post.

Breaking Busy
Summertime is a perfect time to read this book and take a break from the franticness too much BUSY can cause. 🙂
This post talks about this book!

Glorious Weakness
This book will bring you pause and help you reflect on the gift it is to depend on God and let His glory fill our weakness.
If you’ve suffered with mental illness or know someone who has or does, this book will be especially meaningful. Alia Joy battles bipolar and depression and is continually praising God for His goodness in her weakness.
{Read more about Glorious Weakness in this post.}

Placemaker
Christie Purifoy will draw you into the wonder of Placemaking with her gentle stories and beautiful, tender sorting through life.

Just Open the Door
This book lives and breathes hospitality and you’re sure to find new ideas and inspiration for opening the door to your home and welcoming people in!

The Next Right Thing
I say things about this book over in this post.
I love this book and the approach Emily P. Freeman uses to look at decisions, to thoughtfully consider, and discern the step we need to take. She gently helps point us to our path without ever telling her readers the answer to their decision. Emily doesn’t have “the answers” for us because she isn’t living our lives. What she does offer is a process, a pondering and a voice of understanding.

The DIY Home Planner
A super fun book! KariAnne Wood is a fave of mine. I love creating a home we love to live in and I love books about home. There’s a whole bunch of pictures inside this book in this post right here!

Daughters of Grace
This is a Bible study from the Daily Grace Co. and it features several women of the Bible and the God of Grace.

Bible Journaling For the Fine Artist
I follow Melissa Fischer on Instagram and I love her art. We have a couple of her prints and journaling stickers
She sponsored a giveaway for us here at A Delightful Glow in this post.
This beautiful art book is full of all manner of inspiration and ideas!

Sounds like a good plan! Wishing you well as you move and happy gardening! 🙂
I am so excited about this giveaway – and hurray for harvest! The Next Right Thing has been on my radar for a while, I’d love to to read that. Currently working on a John Adams biography and one called “Courage, Dear Hear Letters to a Weary World” by Rebecca Reynolds.

The Next Right Thing is a terrific book!
Every single book looks amazing! I have been wanting Melissa’s Bible Journaling book since it came out, but I NEED the Glorious Weakness book! 💜
Both of these books are wonderful!
Does Just Open the Door have any good ideas for easier hospitality when you have toddlers in the house?
Yes, I believe it does. It’s packed with ideas and a variety of stories. My advice would be…….take what interests you, tweak it, and make it work for you. None of our lives are identical, nor are our personalities all the same. 🙂 I appreciate the ideas and inspiration in this book, but my life, location, and personality are much different than the author’s and thus, hospitality plays out differently for me. If that makes sense! 🙂
All the books look amazing but the book I’m most excited about is Bible Journaling. Such a great stack of books!
Thank-you! The journaling book is beautiful!
I’ve been listening to the Podcast, The Next Best Thing, and would love to read the book!
The book is fantastic! I love the podcast too. 🙂
These all look great! I’m currently reading all kinds of children books, as am writing them now, so they say to read them, too! Loved ‘The Angry Cookie’. Enjoying your blog, too!
Thank-you! I love children’s books too! 🙂
The DIY Home Planner would be perfect for me as I’m trying to get ideas I can do myself to simplify and make my home a happy place for my family.
So fun! Yes, it would be fantastic!

They’re all great reads!
Love the DIY home Planner!! Would love that one!!
