It’s a new day!
A beautiful new day.
Sunshine streaming in the window. Birds chirping. Cool air whispering through the screens.
Cooper, lost to sight in the milo field, barking, barking, fiercely on the trail of some unseen conquest.
The bumping of scooter wheels and banging of the garage door as my girl feeds the cats and kittens.
We have cares and struggles and stresses and pain and questions and concerns that have pressed in and cropped up throughout this year. There always are. There always will be.
Yet, we have each other. We have peace. We have Jesus.
We have His word.
We have had love poured out to us from other people.
We’ve grown in grace and gratitude.
We’ve felt the whisper of “I love you” and the strength of His arms circling us tight.
We’ve been held by our Father.
He is our strength. We rest in Him.
Because, He blesses with beauty, even amid the broken. He plants peace among the pain. He routs worry and weight with His wisdom and drops down reassurance wrapped in His unshakeable truths.
Because He’s Father.
