As the calendar counts off the days in November, I’ve been counting gratefulness AND I’ve been anticipating Christmas. As I anticipate, I’ve been contemplating the HOPE Christmastime represents.
If I were asked to describe the season in one word, that would be the word right now. Christmas embodies hope.
Christmas gives the best gift by offering Jesus in a manger.
Christmas shines light to the world.
Christmas ushers in a new way.
Markedly different.
There’s hope in marking gratitude, too.
By recounting all that is good, all that’s delightful, the many reasons for rejoicing, I am quietly reminded of hopes fulfilled, of unexpected blessings, of God’s deep faithfulness, always.
I love the coziness of autumn days and longer evenings. The sparkle of twinkle lights and soft lamplight feels like a warm hug and a deep inhale for our souls. I’m grateful for this simple refreshing.

I would gift it to my daughter. I love that it encourages girls to interact with their Bible. I grew up thinking writing in it was basically sacrilegious. Today I’m thankful that it’s warm outside, for a good nights rest and a warm cup of coffee
I so agree. I like interacting with the text. It helps me engage and remember better. And it underscores especially meaningful passages.
Three things I am grateful for this week are the results of the US Presidential election, the five days in a row of 20+ degree temperatures above normal (windows open in November her are rare), and how happy I made a teacher friend this week when I donated 40 plus books to her classroom.
I adore open windows! 🙂
I would love to give this to my daughter who loves this color and is very talented in artsy and creative ways!
Sounds perfect for her. 🙂
