Isn’t this camper pillow the most fun?! It’s from my sister’s shop over here at Sew a Fine Seam. I snagged it {not literally}{well, not in the literal pull-a-thread kind of snaggy way} while we were in Ohio because it was the perfect gift for a friend. I love the springy colors and all the fun details!
Kitty relaxes on the window and the bees buzz in a friendly bumble-y way!
I just love it.
I wanted to be sure and share this cause and fundraiser with you today!!
I very recently came across Because International and was intrigued with their great idea for sandals that grow! Then I found their campaign and Wear-a-Pair fundraiser and thought it would be fun to join in and share these shoes and how we can help supply shoes to people who need them.
Your donation will help supply shoes to needy children and offer protection from disease and sore, hurting feet!
Here’s a few words from The Shoe that Grows site…..
“Over 2 billion people suffer from soil-transmitted diseases and parasites. They live in areas that do not have adequate sanitation. They struggle with proper hygiene. They do not have the right clothing, resources, or healthcare. And being sick = struggling. Kids miss school, can’t help their families, suffer with pain. Many of these diseases and parasites get into the body because people don’t have shoes.
There are over 300 million children who do not have shoes. And countless more with shoes that do not fit. Sometimes they receive donations of shoes, but these are kids. Their feet grow. And they outgrow donated shoes within a year. Right back where they started.”
“The Shoe That Grows is a patented design of an innovative shoe that adjusts and expands. It was developed with the help of multiple shoe design firms inspired by feedback from those who need them. The shoe comes in three sizes: youth small, youth large, and adult.“

THIS week is Wear-a-Pair and spread the word, so Renae and I are wearing the sandals and sharing about them. I’m so intrigued with the way they adjust and “grow.” They’re comfy and when I glimpse them on my feet, they’re a good reminder of the need people have.
To join in the fundraiser and donate or spread the word you can visit my fund raiser page here………… Thanks for your generosity!
This sweet little book by Melissa Micheals was recently released. Simple Decorating. It has 50 simple tips for creating home in YOUR home. I’ve enjoyed reading it. The Inspired Room is one of my favorite decor and home books. The Nesting Place is another one!
Uncommon Marriage by Tony and Lauren Dungy. I loved reading this story.
So far my three favorite books this year are Chasing Slow, The Magnolia Story and this one. The common thread in the three books is STORY. They all simply share their stories and pieces of their lives in engaging, inspiring and interesting fashion.
Check out these books ~ a Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible and a Once Upon a Time Bible. I received a copy of both of these to review.
I like the byline on the book.
The Bible is NOT a fairy tale, but every great Bible story happened once upon a time. The Bible is the ultimate Happily Ever After story!
So very true.
These books provide the opportunity to teach kids that the real heroes and stories of our faith come straight from God’s Word.
Here’s some pictures inside the Bible. It is available wherever books are sold. It has a few pages with pictures sprinkled throughout the pages. I had a Bible for children when I was young and I always liked the pictures that were in it. Renae had a Precious Moments Bible when she was younger and it was the same. A few pages throughout with Precious Moment pictures.
The back cover of the Storybook. You can find it available at Sam’s Club or wherever books are sold.
And a few pictures from inside ~ Each story ends with a Happily Ever After and a Bible chapter reference. I really like the format of the stories. They’re told in a simple way that sums up the heart of each story. Each story also has a Bible verse printed under the story title.
Here’s my Easter pillow from Sew a Fine Seam! I’m as excited about it as I am the camper! 🙂
Dishcloth. Pretty much all I’ve been working on in the knitting department.
One more book! I read through this pretty quickly. It’s a good read. There is good to be done everywhere. For people near or far. It can feel very overwhelming to me at times. BUT as Chris’ ministry is called, Help One Now. You can’t focus on the overwhelming numbers, but simply HELP ONE NOW. It matters to each one.
We’ve had some hard things happen to people around us recently. Things we don’t understand. Things that hurt. Death, sickness, and tragedy. These things make me feel helpless, but then I remember that caring matters. Even when I have no words, no mighty thing that will change the situation, heal or really, even help in any significant way. YET, caring matters. Praying MATTERS. A lot. A lot, a lot.
If your world is holding hurt right now, I’m so sorry. May God’s peace and comfort cover you.
If your world holds happiness, rejoice in it and in every good day! Hurts and waiting produce the fruit of endurance, but my heart still longs for the happiness and that is my wish for you all!

I enjoyed the Magnolia Story too. That little pillow is darling
Thanks! I love seeing my sister’s designs for her pillows. 🙂
I want to read Uncommon Marriage sometime! That is such a perfect name for a Christian marriage!
It’s very good! You would enjoy it.
