I posted about my pom-pom wreath yesterday.
I mentioned thinking a small, pink pom-pom wreath would be cute for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t think I had any pink yarn.
It helps to go look at what you have! π
Actually, I was picturing a soft, solid-colored pink. This yarn wasn’t with my other yarn and I noticed it yesterday and thought, “Hey, that would make cute pom-poms, I bet!”
So, I’m giving it a try.
I also am trying out a tiny pom-pom maker. The pom-poms still come out looking bigger, because this is a FLUFFY yarn. I’m using the 1 3/8″ maker.
For my wreath, I used the 2 1/2 inch maker.
I finished this stripey dishcloth.
And I started on a pink heart-shaped dishcloth.
You can find the pattern on Ravelry over here.
Jeanette, from The Farm, asked me last week if I’d seen the pattern for them.
I had seen them on her daughter’s IG here and you can find them for sale in her Etsy shop.
I’m excited to watch it take shape and see how it comes out.
Plus, the pattern is very similar to the dishcloths I make, so it is easy for me.
My poor mitts project languishes. I was hoping {and planning} to work on it on Monday and then I didn’t feel very well and I didn’t pick it up.
Look at these dish scrubbies! They aren’t anything I made, but they go well with dishcloths. A friend had one tucked into a gift she gave me.Β I think it was in my birthday gift.Β I can’t remember exactly if it was for my birthday,Β but that’s beside the point. I love it! So that’s all that matters! π Β I like the designs and I really like the way it works. I was super excited when I discovered a little shop carrying them, that is about an hour from where we live. I picked up several to have for gifts.
Here they are on Amazon in a striped design. The are made by Euro Scrubby.
It is wonderful for scrubbing down my sink after I wash dishes.
They can be used in the bathroom, kitchen or outdoors.
Some of the listed uses are ~ porcelain sinks, nonstick pans, garden tools, glass, and ceramic floor tiles.
My pick for kids this week!
It’s TinTin!!
We’ve had TinTin books for a long, long time.
My kiddos have both loved them.
They are some of the first books my son would pick up and read.
That was part of the description I read about these books and part of the reason I ordered them. It described them as books that kids who didn’t love to read, would pick up and read anyway. I believe it to be true!!
We were excited when the movie came out and we enjoy it too. The animation in this movie is unique and interesting.
I started Glory Days by Max Lucado and I am thoroughly enjoying it and soaking it in. He is one of my long-time favorite authors.
And this is the bookmark I’ve been using. It’s a tag my daughter put on a Christmas gift to me.
Perfect for Valentine’s Week!
I had a little happy thought and dance inside my head when I realized all my “stuff” for this week fit very well for Valentine’s. It just sorta happened and those kind of things always make me smile.
Have a great week!

Ah, Tin Tin, takes me back to when the boys were younger and we would check them out from the library.
Very pretty dish clothes.
Good memories! π
Love the pom poms!
