Good Morning!
This is one of my very favorite Little Golden books, EVER!!!!
The New Baby ~
So sweet. The pictures are gorgeous and little Mike is adorable and his new baby sister is beautiful, too.
I loved this book when I was a little girl and I love it equally as much now that I’m thirty-seven, instead of seven!
I started reading this book last week. I really like it. It has some very, very good points and there are several things that I’d always somewhat “felt” but didn’t know how to put in words or prove why I felt that way and these authors apparently knew how! 🙂 As always, I wish I could retain and REMEMBER what I read much, much better than I do. My daughter asked me a couple of geography questions and Bible questions this week and I told her, “Honey, you know this stuff better than I do at this point. And your memory is much better than mine!”
We were taking some style photos for the Wardrobe posts I started and Renae snapped a few of me knitting away.
A friend stopped by this week and gave us this beautiful crocheted rosette. Isn’t it gorgeous? She’d thought she would make it into a pillow cover and never had and thought perhaps Renae might like to do something with it. I think it’s just beautiful to use like it is on a chair or on my coffee table or for a photo shoot prop. I think I can come up with several ideas for it! It would even be neat to wrap a little baby doll in.
I’ve hardly picked up my knitting since last week. I had to go look at my pictures from last week to see what my progress was then. I’d stuck my knitting bag on a closet shelf and I don’t think about it as much when it’s not out where I’m more likely to see it. We’ve been busy with corn harvest and other stuff going on, anyway.
That’s our yarn and book check-in for the week!
What are you reading?

The Boundaries for Kids book is also very good. I didn’t make much progress on my knitting this week either, so you make me feel better!
I saw that there were several titles and varieties in the Boundaries series. Thanks for the recommendation.
And I’m glad to keep you company in the not-much-progress-on-knitting group! 🙂
nice colour for your washclothes! knitting is fun! I’ve read the book Boundries; there is also one for marriage that is quite good.
Thanks! It’s fun to hear about the other Boundaries books that people have read and liked.
welcome!
That’s a beautiful photo of you sitting in the corner of the sofa, happily knitting!
I love that baby book, too! I love all of Eloise Wilkins work. Her interiors are so inviting that I wish that I could jump into the pictures.
I agree about wanting to jump into the Eloise Wilkin pictures! They’re so soft and sweet and comforting and homey.
Plus, I can’t draw much more than a stick figure, so I’m always intrigued by beautiful artwork.
I love the New Baby book. I wonder why we have so many of the same favorites! ??
Although I will confess there were times when I thought, “Do I really have to read this AGAIN.!”
Know what you mean!! 🙂
