It is very quiet in my Yarn Along world. When it comes to yarn and clicking knitting needles anyway.
My leaf still waits. I have not started a new dishcloth.
Quiet, quiet yarn along.
We were gone over the weekend visiting M’s brother and his wife and little girls. I had a couple of days where I did not really feel very good. I’ve been working on some other projects and dealing with some things that have to be done. I have several good, good books right now, so there you go. Not much to show you from my yarn world.
Let’s peek at paper flowers since the yarn has pretty much just stayed in a ball. I used a striped liner and a white liner and made the combination flower. I like it. It adds a dimensions.
Hop over here if you want to see a Cupcake Liner Flower Tutorial. And pin it on Pinterest for later use!
I’ve been making some paper flowers too and hope to post them soon. All the flowers make me happy and are fun to use in pictures and have ready to stick on a gift package.
I do still have lots of favorite children’s books!
BERENSTAIN BEARS
Three cheers for the Berenstain Bears!
The Big Road Race is definitely a favorite. It rhymes, so SCORE!!!

The Inspired RoomΒ ~ This book is so beautiful and well, inspiring! {How else to describe it?!}
Find The Inspired Room blog here….
In fact, it inspired me to take a bunch of pictures of it and put more in this post than needed, simply because I like to take pictures and then I can’t narrow it down to just one!!!
Oh, and notice my cute journal that a friend gave me for my birthday! {I love it!} I put it beside The Inspired Room, so you could see the size of The Inspired Room book a bit better. The journal is your average size journal book.
I am enjoying leafing through it and reading it. It does tend to make me want to start rearranging furniture and such. And my back does not need to do that right now.
So, I just read on and roll ideas around in my brain. And enjoy the beautiful pictures!
I also was super-excited to get to read the beginning chapters of Lysa Teurkerst’s new book, Uninvited, this week. It is slated to release summer of 2016. You are going to want to read it! It is very, very good. I have my doubts that there are very many people on the planet that can’t relate to it. Especially we females! In the meantime, if you haven’t read The Best YesΒ by Lysa, I highly recommend it. Her books encourage and {here’s that word again} inspire me!
LOOK! I love the way the gold flecks on the book cover glinted in this picture! Isn’t it fun?
What did you create this week?

hope you get more knitting time this coming week. Nothing wrong with a quiet yarn along π
I’m not sure if I will get more or less knitting time this week! It’s going to be busy. My sister and her family are coming, plus Thanksgiving coming up next week! But that’s ok! Looking forward to it all.
Pretty post even if the yarn is quiet! I haven’t read any of Lysa’s books but maybe i’ll get a chance eventually! Your liner flowers are really pretty.
I so recommend Lysa’s books! π
Thanks for the link to The Inspired Room. I don’t do a bunch of decorating so this will be very inspirational for me. Have a great week!
Another blog that is a fun decor blog is The Nesting Place. Link to it here…http://www.thenester.com/ She has a book I love, too! The book is also called The Nesting Place.
And my favorite decor blog, is my sister’s, of course! Sew a Fine Seam. Link to it here…http://www.sewafineseam.com/
You have a great week too!
I love this post for all the pretty pictures! And thanks for the link for making the paper flowers. They are cute!
Thank-you! Taking pictures is one of my favorite things!
I like the paper flowers too. They are easy and that is always my kind of project! π
