These three things make me think fall and autumn and cooler temps.
They’re food. They have nothing to do with seasons and weather, really.
They’re out of the usual category of fall-y things like pumpkins and gourds and apples.
But they just have a fall look and are fun decor for my kitchen.
I think it’s the colors. Obviously, the Reeses Pieces look like autumn and the changing leaves.
The pretzels and nuts have a variety of warm brown tones and that lends to an autumn air about them.
Plus, the crunch and the salt of biting into nuts or pretzels creates a combination of the sound of leaves crunching and the brisk bite the air starts to have.
It’s a combination of the sensory system.
It gives me a sense of a changing season.
How about you?
What says “FALL” for you?
