Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams.
Look at my little bunny hand puppet! I’m just all-kinds-of-happy with him.
He really was very simple to make. I did have a bit of a mess up on the cuff, but it isn’t that noticeable and I just let it go. It’s on the side, so that makes a difference too, as compared to if it was smack-dab in the middle of the front, say.
AND…………
then……..
wait for it,
wait for it…………………………………..
LOOK!!!
A pom-pom tail!!!!
I mean! How great is that!!
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
The pattern is out of The Kids’ Knitting Workshop book that I showed you last week.
I think this kids’ knitting book looks very interesting as well. It’s simply called Kids Knitting.
So many books….never enough time!!
That pom-pom tail! It makes me giggle.
Speaking of pom-poms, I haven’t worked on any more yellow pom-poms since last week.
They’re quietly waiting in the bag I tossed them into.
I finished the heart dishcloth I started. It was fun to try it in a variegated yarn.
I really, really like this green yarn and so I stitched up a leaf for spring from it. It really doesn’t show up the best in this picture. Ah, well.
My mother made these leaves for me. My parents are here visiting. They arrived last week and are here this week, too. So fun to have them.
Mother had made me a bunch of leaves back in the fall and I hung them at my kitchen windows.
There’s a picture of them in this post.
I didn’t have quite enough for the other window in my kitchen.
I had three left over and Mother knitted up six more while she’s been here. Now to get them hung!
So sweet of her to do them for me. She’s made several for my sister and nieces as well. She knits much faster than I do!
I want to make a jar cozy with this yarn. I did start in on it and then I had my yarn caught funny around my circular needle and took it all out. Going to start again when I get a chance! I want to try the cable one. The cable stitch is a new thing to me.
And hop over here and look at this gorgeous sweater! I am so tempted to purchase the pattern and supplies and give it a try! I pinned it to my Knitting and Crocheting Pinterest board and I’m going to turn the idea around in my head. I don’t know if I’m up for the challenge.
AND…the question is….HOW would it come out? Would it fit me? My daughter? My husband? My baby niece? You see the confidence I have in my skills! 🙂 Haha!
{if it fits my husband it will never get worn. heehee! sweaters are not his style. i try to get him in them. he so turns up his nose. but that’s ok. i love him anyway.}{besides i don’t think that particular pattern DOES look at all like a man’s. 🙂 🙂 }
My current book stack.
Still loving The Life Giving Home.
And Quiet is just a quite interesting read, I think! I relate.
I’ve barely cracked open the covers on Beyond Boundaries and Roots & Sky.
I read Boundaries last year and I really liked it. I just skimmed through it a bit again recently, after a friend and I were discussing it.
I’d been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Roots & Sky. One part of me wants to sit down and read it right up and another part wants to wait until the perfect time when I’m wanting to curl up and get lost in the pages of a great book!
If you don’t follow Christie Purifoy on IG, you can find her over here. I love her IG feed.
I may have already chosen this book as my kid pick at another Yarn Along. I can’t remember.
I love this book.
I had to choose it this week, because we celebrated my kiddos birthdays over the weekend.
They are 13 and 16!!
13 and 16, I say!
We don’t have this book, but it looks equally as adorable! If I Could Keep You Little. I’m going to add it to my idea list for gifts for my baby nieces.
Teenagers. It’s such a mix of growing up and excitement about that for them and bittersweet nostalgia, too.
We read Let Me Hold You Longer at the birthday party.
So very fitting! And why it needed to be my kid pick this week!
I mentioned that my parents are visiting and the birthday party was one big reason they came. Besides the fact, that it was just time for them to visit again!
My sister and her husband and three girls also came out just for a quick weekend and to be here for the party!
It was really, really fun to have them and very special. Except I felt kind of bad. It is a LONG trip for just a couple of days! There’s just so many miles between. It’s too many.
Yet, so super-fun to have them here for the party!!
Here’s bunny again! He looked so cute with the left-over party balloons!
What project or hobby have you been having fun with?

That little bunny is the cutest thing! I might have to make some for my kiddos for Easter! I have downloaded the kindle sample of Quiet and I think I might have to download the whole book I have heard so many great things about it.
The bunny really is pretty simple. Especially for someone that knits much at all. There is also a pattern for a puppy hand puppet in the book.
I do really like Quiet. It helps me realize a little better who I am and why I deal with situations like I do and feel about crowds like I do. 🙂
I just picked up that book and have yet to sit down with it. That rabbit is adorable and sooo cute! My youngest just turned 5 this past weekend and I asked her if she could stop growing…….of course she laughed at me. Oh to keep them little just a little longer….although I truly do enjoy my adult children too!! Loved visiting your blog today and seeing your fun projects!!
So glad you stopped by! The days really do roll into years before we quite know it!
One of my students has been looking for a pattern like that. I will have to check it out. I just love the little tail!
I loved the detail of the tail, too! Definitely part of what drew me to the project! 🙂
I love pom poms! and the bunny is very cute!
Thank-you! 🙂 {I love pom-poms too!}
Argh i love the bunny, especially that cute wee pompom tail! 🙂
Oh, I know! Pom-poms!!!! 🙂 🙂
Love the bunny hat! I started reading Roots and Sky too!
Oh fun! I’m excited about Roots and Sky.
I am definitely looking up that book to see if it will inspire my daughter with new ideas of thing she could knit!
I think it is a really fun book!
What a cute bunny! Love your projects – such colorful and quick knits !
Oh, thank-you! They have been fun!
