Present Over Perfect  ~ still reading! It’s a good wake-up call to evaluate what we’re packing our lives with.

I’m on the launch team for Listen, Love, Repeat  by Karen Ehman and started reading the e-book last week.  She co-wrote Hoodwinked. I have a post about it over here.

I still have the Bittersweet e-book to finish, too. I forget about e-books because I don’t “see” them. They’re super handy for when I’m not at home, though.

Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe by Max Lucado. I read this book last week. Loved it!The story line is a little like the movie It’s a Wonderful Life.  One of my favorite movies. Clarence is the best!

Two books that released yesterday that have me excited!

The Undoing of Saint Silvanus by Beth Moore. So, so looking forward to this book. I’ve been seeing a few comments around the web from people who received the book early and they’re making it sound like it’s exactly what I was expecting. I pre-ordered it way back earlier this year. Looking forward to happy mail! 🙂

My knitting is scattered among my books and studies that I decided to spread out and take pictures of for this week. One finished dishcloth and one in progress!

Here’s to new projects! I want to start this cross stitch!! I’ve been wanting to for a few weeks. I also have a pattern for candy corn dishcloth and coasters that I want to try! {Notice the orange and yellow and white yarn above} I saw a picture of one on Instagram made by Laura from Knit Read Pray and it inspired me to give it a try for fall!

I didn’t focus on one certain Kid Pick this week. I thought I’d stick in a picture of this fun rack I’ve been using for kid books in the living room. It came from my sister! Hunting and gathering at garage sales and flea markets is one of her giftings! Go over here to Sew a Fine Seam to see all the great stuff she makes!

And thinking KID PICK and EXCITEMENT ABOUT NEW BOOKS……………….the kid’s version of Flash the Donkey is releasing on October 1st. I totally recommend that you go pre-order it! It’s called Flash the Donkey Makes New Friends.  Flash the Donkey has been one of my favorite books I read this year.
