I find myself caught in an intermingling of Christmas decor and Valentine’s.
I put away some of my Christmas stuff, but this dear nativity remains as well as my Christmas trees. I love the sparkly lights. LOVE, love, love them.
I saw these yarn balls somewhere in InternetLand and made a couple. I have a couple more I want to do.
They add such a fun and unexpected element.
See? My nativity and xoxo blanket from Modern Burlap.
One of my very good friends gifted me with this gluten free cookbook for Christmas. The irony is not lost on me that I took a picture of it with my wreath crafted from our VERY OWN KANSAS GROWN gluten-filled wheat! {i love our wheat…so pretty!}
This is my very first gluten-free cookbook and I was quite pleased to receive it. I’ve done quite a bit of surfing the web for gluten-free recipes.
Then, my sister-in-law also gifted me with a gluten-free cookbook. Yay! Both cookbooks were fun to receive, because it wasn’t something I had thought about putting on my list. I am excited to have them! I’ve enjoyed just reading through them and hearing other people’s stories.
I started this Bible study back in December.
It’s written by Rachel Anne Ridge who also wrote, Flash. Flash is one of the books I included in my list yesterday as part of Ten of my Favorite Reads in 2016. Go over here if you haven’t read my list!
Still reading these three!
Scripture Memory time again!

My verse for January 1 ~
I Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord, your labor is not in vain.
I broke out the pom-poms again! I have so much fun with them.
I made this garland to add a dimension to my picture frame and fun picture of my littles!
Here’s my wall in the basement. I’ve been slowly working on it and I’m happy with the way it’s coming.
I also added all the globes to the top of this cupboard and am all swoony over it. Then I dug out our planet puzzles and added them in! It makes me happy.
AND I worked on these two pom-pom wreaths. I had the small one mostly done. I made it last year around Valentine’s Day. It didn’t have quite enough pom-poms, but I tucked it away…………and there it stayed until now. I made a few more pom-poms and finished the outside edge.
I also put together this winter white wreath. I’m planning to put these in my sister’s shop. If you’re interested in purchasing one, send me an email for pricing and details.
I have a bunch of bits and pieces of yarn left over from dishcloths. I started making these small pom-poms using the leftovers. I like the color and variety they are producing! These are the same ones I used in my garland. I want to try a wreath with them, too.
I don’t even have a KID PICK this week…..because SO MANY other pictures.
Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams ~

That white wreath is gorgeous! I like the globes grouped together like that and the planets add the right touch. Pompom banner on the picture–yes!!
Thank-you! I liked how the white wreath came out, myself. I need to find ribbons for hanging them, now.
The globes make me happy! And the pom-poms do too! 🙂 They add cozy and color.
So many beautiful pictures! I love the intermingling of holidays! We still have our Christmas tree up 🙂 I am definitely going to be looking at that Bible study – it looks like a really good one.
Heather recently posted…knitting and reading – yarn along
I am enjoying the study. Rachel Anne Ridge’s words really resonate with me. She has a quiet and encouraging and inspiring voice.
great wreath! How do you decide what color to make?!?!? might have to look up this FLASH book. got the new voskamp for Christmas. keep going! great reading, too.
Hmmm. Great question! You’ve got me thinking…..and I don’t know that I have any certain method for choosing pom-pom wreath colors. {Real helpful, huh?} 😉
I’ve seen all white wreaths on home decor blogs and love the look, so I knew I wanted to try one. Other than that, I grab yarn that catches my eye or dig through what I have around.
I totally recommend Flash. Of course, different books and words resonate with different people, but I loved the easy, fun and inspiring manner Flash is written in.
Let me know how you’re liking The Broken Way. I won the study set in a giveaway and I think I’m going to go through it with a study group in February and March.
