Completed!! I gave myself a quiet, little challenge in my head to finish my purple dishcloth from last week AND knit up another one, all finished, before this week. I managed it!
My mother mentioned that she was knitting a pink dishcloth that would go well with the purple I was doing. That inspired me to pull out pink yarn for my next one.
They do look really pretty together!!
The pink dishcloth is already gone though, as my sister-in-law had a birthday and we tucked a few things together for her.
Look at my mess of pink yarn!! It somehow did not get started off the ball correctly. It continued to become more of a mess and my attempts only added to the snarl. My daughter is good with knots and tangles. She sorted some of it and re-rolled it into a good ball of yarn. The rest is still there for now!
Lizzy & Jane!!!
Just as good as Dear Mr. Knightley by the same author. I talked about it over in this Yarn Along post.
Any book that makes me laugh and cry and relate and want to keep turning pages is a keeper!
Still reading through Keep it Shut. Very good. Very practical. Applies to me.
I finished Simply Tuesday and simply picked it up and opened the front cover again. It soothes my soul and speaks to me. Slowing down, savoring the small. Sciatic is a good thing for slowing you down, whether you want to or not. Still sorting through the lessons I’m supposed to be learning from this season in my life and this past couple of years. I’m slower than I want to be when it comes to my ability and agility and attempts at completing everyday tasks. But for schedules and day-to-day I’m glad for slower and just enjoying every single day.
I started a butter-yellow-bit-of-sunshine dishcloth!
The pink and purple made me decide to make several solid dish cloths. I think in my subconscience I’m picturing a lovely stack of colors and thinking of the opportunities for photography they would offer.
My children’s book pick! LOVE these books by Laura Numeroff! Over here is a post I wrote clear back in 2012, in a bit of a Laura Numeroffy style, about celebrating my husband’s birthday.
These books found a home on our bookshelves when my daughter was just a small, toddler girl. Just so much fun they are!
