Books I’ve been focusing on recently ~
Do You Know You’re Already Amazing? by Holley Gerth.
Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family by Paul David Tripp.
If by Mark Batterson.
Entrusted ~ a study of 2 Timothy by Beth Moore.
I feel like I haven’t read a whole lot recently, but this is what I’ve been picking up when I do.
I started Entrusted last week. It is a study on 2 Timothy. I’ve done studies on James, Nehemiah, Esther, Ruth, Jonah, 1&2 Thessalonians and 1,2 &3 John. I really enjoy studies that lean in and focus and work through a particular book of the Bible.
I’m not very far into the Parenting book, but I like it. It holds wisdom and experience. {We will be having a giveaway for a copy in the next couple of weeks!}
If is speaking to me as well. Romans 8 is an underlying theme in this book and in my words, “You could take a highlighter and a marker and highlight and circle Romans 8:1.”
Therefore, there is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.
Two completed dishcloths. My head is a little fuzzy, and I’m not sure if I completed both last week or not! Ha! The bright one I know I did make last week.
The wool dryer balls from my sister have become a hide-and-seek game! You never know where they’re going to show up in the clean laundry! 🙂
I found one in the corner of a fitted sheet. I grabbed a long-sleeved tee to fold and lo-and-behold there was a dryer ball hiding at the top of the sleeve. They bounce out of the towels when we pull them out to fold.
Goals.
I had them. I wanted to get another set of candy corn coasters finished. {My finished set is in last week’s post.}
I have one done!!!! That counts for some points, right?!!
Three to go.
I did work on my mitt again. See? I got the thumb gusset ready and off on a yarn scrap until the mitt is completed and I can go back and finish the thumb.
My KID PICK!!
And I forgot to take a couple pics of the inside of the book.
One Lonely Seahorse by Joost Elffers and Saxton Freymann.
The books by these authors are super-de-duper! All the pictures are made by using fruit and veggie creations.
My aunt and cousin gave this book to Renae when she was little and it has been a favorite ever since. We found a few of the others at our library.
A couple of the other titles are Dog Food and Baby Food.
Creativity and ideas are so much fun!

The candy corn coasters are really cute! What a great idea for fall. 🙂
They have been fun to make and they come together quickly. {Even though I’m still rather slow!} 🙂
Great dryer balls! Love those. I should really make more dishcloths. How fun.
I like the dryer balls, too. They look pretty!
Oh, that candy corn coaster is cute. I thought it was a baby hat from the link-up, now I want to make a candy corn baby hat!
A candy corn baby hat would be adorable! I bet there’s a pattern out there!
Such cute knitting! I’ll have to check out that Beth Moore study, I love her studies! and I looked at that Parenting book, I think I might have to just go ahead and get it.
Beth Moore’s studies are favorites of mine, too. Esther is one of my top faves.
I think there is a lot of wisdom in the Parenting book. I think you could make application for a variety of relationships, because when it comes right down to it, a lot of parenting is building relationships with your children and connecting and pointing them towards Jesus.
