Linking up with Ginny.….
WELL!!
I surprised myself. Yarn Along has inspired me to pick up those knitting needles! It helped to get my knitting out again and then I see it and pick it up and work on it here and there or if I get a phone call or have a few minutes or a bit of time that’s not enough to start anything else.
And my cousin and I caught a few more times to chat and I started this dishcloth.
I finished this one! Hooray! I have a bright, new, cheery dishcloth for my kitchen sink.
I really didn’t think I’d finish the first one and get so much done on another one last week when I posted.
My daughter went through some of the stuff left from my Grandma’s when she was in Ohio in May. She didn’t have room to bring it all home with her and my Mother sent a box with the rest of it out with my cousin. This pack of knitting needles was part of it. They are neat and fun! I keep looking at them and thinking maybe someday…………I’ll get brave enough to try a big knitting project. Technically, someday never comes, but the idea is scattering seed! I enjoy seeing Renae’s interest in knitting and crocheting and sewing and crafty stuff!
We’ve been reading the Penderwicks aloud. We’d started it and then we also read some of it as we traveled back and forth to Hatteras. Then when we got home, Renae left for Ohio, our newest niece was born, and harvest was approaching! Throw in summer and outside stuff and setting up the pool and we haven’t done much reading aloud! Then harvest jumped into full swing and we had company and so no reading happening!
BUT, we have one chapter left and hopefully we can finish it soon! It’s been a fun book with exuberant characters. And it looks cute laying beside my bundle of wheat that I clipped alongside the road at one of our fields and brought home with me one evening after I delivered supper to the hungry harvesters.
What projects and books are happening at your house?
Oh, and we have a giveaway going on right now that started yesterday. It’s a super fun one! Go over here and enter to win a Choose Gratitude Blessings Journal!
Also, the July flexi popped in today in the form of a bright, cheery Sunflower. I posted about it over here.

Love your dishcloths, they are one of my favorite things to knit!
Thanks! One of mine too…. 😉 Since they’re the only thing I knit! They’ve been my favorite kind of dishcloth for years.
Dish cloths are great to knit especially at this time of year. It’s just too hot to be working on a sweater in this weather!
That’s true! Dishcloths are small and aren’t heaped in your lap. 🙂 I will surprise myself if I ever attempt a sweater.
im knitting dishclothes too! such a nice easy knit.
we LOVE the Penderwicks!
How fun! Yes, I want to read the rest of the Penderwick books, too!
