Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams.
Second verse.
Same as the first.
Pretty much the same projects and same books as last week! 🙂
I do really love both of these books and the reflections they bring to mind.
Home.
I wish a happy one for everyone!
My projects and my books are all in slow mode right now. We were out and about quite a bit last week. Really, it seems every single week has had its fair share of to-dos and appointments, ever since Matthew and Renae returned from Haiti. Our winter is supposed to be our slower season!! 🙂 I don’t know that I would categorize this one in that way.
Our kids’ book for the week!
I like old books.
They are so just so neat!
This was a book we had at my house when I was growing up.
Benjie is this big ole stray dog who shows up at the Smith’s door.
They’ve just moved to a small town and are new to the neighborhood.
They aren’t even thinking about trying to add a dog to their family.
Thing is, they don’t need to think about it. Benjie has it all under control for them!
One stormy, rainy night the Smiths hear a loud thump at their door.
Father opens the door and Benjie enters!!
Father and Mother are quite sure they can’t keep a dog, especially such a BIG one.
But we all know how the best laid plans don’t always come out quite like we think…..
🙂 🙂 🙂
The illustrations in the book are just as fun as the story!

I love old books, too. Old children’s books have a special charm, and of course are so nostalgic. 🙂
I quite agree!
oooooh i remember benjie…..i often go many weeks with the same project on my needles. better to relax and enjoy it than rush to finish!!!!
It’s fun to have other people remember this book! 🙂
And good advice not to rush a project. Thanks!
I had this book as a child. It was given to me. I imagine, if I look I will still have it in my possession since I rarely give away books. It has been busy for me also. I have managed to make some time for spinning and knitting…. but not much.
Books are definitely a favorite here!
I’m glad you were able to make some time to spin and knit!
I love old children’s books! I will have to look for that one for my littles.
I am also slowly making my way through The Life-giving Home, it’s been great so far.
I think the Life-Giving Home is great, too!
