Hey everybody! {Waving heartily!} 🙂
Here’s some yarn stuff that happened last week.
Finger-knitting. Find videos on You-Tube if you’d like to learn. That’s what I did.
I have some ideas churning around about making garlands and using them with pom-poms. Or to wrap around a gift or on your Christmas tree or just draped somewhere or even incorporated in a tablescape.
It’s super easy and super fun. Garlands are a happy thing.
More dish-clothing. It’s so easy to pick up and requires little thinking on my part. My mama put some dishcloth yarn in my stocking this year. I love this lavender-y mix.

Back to Little Golden Books again!
When we went to Hatteras last year, I popped into a delightful, little bookstore on the island. I’d never seen this Little Golden Book before. I was totally taken in by the sweet pictures and charming story and this book came home with me as a happy memento of our trip and a new addition to my Little Golden Books.
When the next-to-the-next-to-last page says, “When Mother calls, “Lunchtime!” you’re as hungry as bears.” And the puppy barks what a treat and then the very last page says, “And Nancy and Timmy sit down on the sand and they eat and they eat and they EAT!” well, it’s a KEEPER.
Here in the heart of January, with cold snapping around our windows, A Day at the Seashore sounds wonderfully delicious.
I started this Bible study this month. Open Your Bible.
You can join in online at the Lifeway Women Blog if you’d like!
One of the key points in this study is “The Bible is for you and the Bible is for now.” I have been inspired. I really am enjoying this study. Studying God’s word is never a waste of time and never leaves you without some bit of learning or some inspiration or growth. I’ve had some studies that I just didn’t relate to as well or didn’t feel like I was getting as much from. But even then, there is always something. A word or a thought or a verse. Always a takeaway.
Find Open Your Bible on Amazon here.
I finished The Bronte Plot from last week. Finally. I really enjoyed it. I start several books at once, so my progress is often slow.
AND there is a book giveaway right now here at A Delightful Glow. Hop over here if you didn’t see it yesterday!
Whatchyou crafting or making or reading?
Linking up with Ginny and Frontier Dreams and Life and Yarn!

I’ve never finger knitted but I have seen it done! how fun! I really need to knit up some washclothes/dishclothes. I havent done that in ages and I could use some! Have a great week!
Finger knitting is very easy. Just figure out the method and away you go!
Garlands are such a happy thing. Combined with pom poms?! Happiness Central! I too love that lavender shade. I have never tried to knit dishcloths but I can see the attraction with colours that pretty. Have a happy week.
Your projects always sound much beyond my depth, so if you ever decide to try a dishcloth, you will have no trouble! They are simple! 🙂 Particularly, the pattern I make.
I enjoy fun garlands….and pompoms…so much more fun!
🙂 For sure!
