Do you remember my burlap gift tags and burlap acorn banner?
Do you remember that I made them using burlap from coffeebean bags from Winans?
Well, guess what else you can do with burlap coffeebean bags?
{I bet you can’t guess it!!!!!!!}
You can have a SACK RACE!!!
I kept looking at the coffee bags laying in a stack. I knew I wanted to try some crafting, but I kept asking “What would be another fun thing to do with these?”
The sack race idea eventually popped into my head and I asked my teenagers if they’d like to have one and let me take pictures of them. They willingly obliged and a sunny afternoon found us outside.
It took us a bit to get lined up and move kittens and form our starting postions.
They chose a starting line, an around-the-tetherball pole-course, and the race commenced!
Along with some laughter, yelps, falls and leaps!
It was funny. I wasn’t sure whether to take my pictures or just watch and laugh. I did some of both.
Thanks to my teens for being good sports and humoring me.
If you have coffeebags OR if you want to have a sack race OR if you need a fun outdoor-activity-idea, here you go!
And be sure to check with your local coffeeshop for burlap bags.
Oh and, here’s another fun post about using burlap in unexpected ways!
{we took these pictures in the fall, but we’ll post them in the spring!} 😉
Would love to have been there to see all the action.
You would have most definitely enjoyed it!
